We’ve travelled 250 miles in the past & had one lady drive 210 miles to spend the weekend with us after talking for just a couple of evenings.

It does indeed exist but has never stopped me from meeting the lovely people I have which were all quite far away. I realize not everyone has the opportunity or capacity to travel, but if you do and are determined, the curse becomes an urban myth
