So I can’t book into my gym all week, as they are full. And tbh it’s grounds for me to move gym.

But I’m the meantime, does anyone have any recommendations for exercises that still allow you feel fulfilled when you have minimal gym equipment?

This may be useful to anyone quarantined at the moment too.

I bought one of those push up boards at the start of lockdown where you can move the handles around to do different positions that work different muscle groups, it's a good bit of kit for training at home.

I've got my military fitness tests coming up soon so have started smashing out 8 mile speed marches with a 25kg Bergen on a couple of times a week too, that rapidly burns off body fat!

Like the sound of speed marches. Any other body fat stripping exercises you can recommend?

^^ This. If you’re just looking to stay in shape/fit/healthy then there’s plenty of workouts based purely around maintenance and bodyweight tends to work.

If you’re looking to bulk that at the very least I would invest in some equipment like resistance bands to replicate the weight from the gym at home.

During lockdown I got by with absolute minimal equipment I had a pull up bar, a bucket, a sack of sand and a broom

Filled the bucket to desired weight (water) front raises and bicep curls when used with the broom tie some cord around the broom stick and to the bucket handle then you can curl it up.

If you have a good length of rope or cord tie it to the broom wrap it around a good few times and attach it to the bucket hold it out at arms length and slowly twist it back up and then slowly back down to work your forearms

Sand bag or backpack filled with books or tins over head press it or put it on your back and do squats

Lunges are great done properly without any weights

Push-ups varied with your feet up on something or your hands placed differently

If you have Sky Telly Box

Under apps, theyve added something called FIIT over the last few weeks. Some decent workouts on there.... next to Netflix.... youve just got to have the will power to get past that first!

Fartlek interval training is really good for it, where you alternate between a steady jog and a flat out sprint, google it and you'll find plenty of tips for doing it
