Mine are noisy inconsiderate cunts.

I've got an elderly woman next door that constantly slams doors.

And an upstairs neighbour that plays loud music and never stops talking

I hate them.

What I would give to live in the middle of nowhere

What are your neighbours like?

One side can be a bit noisy but it's normal everyday noise, it doesn't bother us. The other side I'm friends with so we don't worry about the noise from eachother unless one of us is screaming our head off, then we've been known to knock to make sure we're not being murdered.

It's honestly horrendous having bad neighbours and I really feel for anyone that has to endure it! I used to have the worst neighbours and it caused so much stress and we had to sleep on our living room floor for months so we could get some sleep due to one ot them. We also had several problems with the people in the flats in our building, smashed windows, dickheads hanging around in the hallway etc, criminals that lived there with weapons etc.

Luckily where we are now the neighbours are no bother. I think the worst thing is the little girl who is next to my daughters room is always screaming and shouting which is a nightmare when my little one is trying to sleep.

Live in a block of flats which was good when we all moved in as it was new build and most of us living here it was our first homes we all bought etc but over the years as people moved out, flats bought to rent out and different people moving in, it has been unbearable! Got the smell of in the public areas from one flat, another having a domestic each Fri/Saturday. Not the same since the originals moved in

My old neighbours were awesome. They was alot older than me but loved a gin every night. Made it easier for me because they liked my taste in music and didnt mind if I had parties. They offered me their Wi-Fi password when covid just started, offered to pay half they was having none of it. Now ive moved, dont see much of the new neighbours. I can hear they have kids so im responsible on the weekends.

I've not long moved in.

I only really hear the people that are below my bedroom and because they have a young daughter and wafer thin laminate flooring. I don't mind that but they don't put her to bed until 1am quite often. I've let them know that it's noisey qnd us better now.

It could be worse so I'm grateful.

I've rented in places with extremely noisey neighbours and it's a truely hideous existence.

I think some people just don't realise. Others just don't care.

I live in a block of flats and all in all it's pretty quite, there are 4 flats to a floor and I try to keep myself to myself. The woman who lives on the ground floor is a nosey pain always trying to spread shit about other people who live here until I told her to go away as I dont care (I wasnt that nice sorry) other than the odd weekend noise and the smell on the staircase its pretty quite here so I'm lucky especially being in the middle of town.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I'm lucky. I live in the middle of nowhere, on the edge of a wood. There is a couple who live above me. They're about 7 or 8 years older than I am. I hear them walking around, mainly because their kitchen is above my lounge.

They occasionally have their 5 year old granddaughter stay the night, but they always apologise if they think she's been a bit noisy.

We used to have lovely elderly neighbor's either side , but have passed away. Both houses have been empty ,now 1 house has new tenants & our 7 year old is complaining about the noise of them lol lol . To be fair they're not that noisy it's the tv, doors shutting ,noise in the kitchen & the muffled talking but that's it. I told our daughter I'm sure it's no fun for them living next door to us especially at homework time & in the morning's when I have to shout coz she's going at a snail's pace lol

I live on top floor of the house and only hear my one and only neighbour next door slamming the door when he comes in or goes out. Whatever time of a day or night that is.

So I make noise when I leave early in the morning for work to teach him a lesson.

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

Neighbours on both sides are brilliant, they put my bins out, take parcels in and generally keep an eye on me, in a nice way.

They also turn a blind eye to my visitors who range from noisy grandkids and petrol heads through to the occasional Fab lady.

A town near you perhaps

We live in the middle of nowhere. Our nearest neighbours are half a mile away.

It's fantastic. The freedom and the peace and quiet, no nosy neighbours watching you and you can walk around naked whenever (not that we do as we have teenagers)

Not sure how we will cope if we ever have to move somewhere with neighbours.

I live in a little village

I’m in a three house row I’m at the end next to the fields and my new neighbours are lovely we are always chatting and I’m always giving them cake!

My favourite part is every evening all you hear is the wildlife and can see the stars

I’m very grateful that I live somewhere that’s beautiful and peaceful

Bonus that we have a little village school too that we can walk too

Got to admit both my neighbours are pretty sound. The one to my right we both have keys to each other’s houses. Sometimes she’ll text me when she’s out asking to go in check she’s turned her straighteners off. I’ve messaged her when I’m out to go and get my washing off the line when it’s started raining.

I’m also in a group chat with my street. I’ve asked for random things on there like if anyone has a spare washing capsule till I’ve got to the shop or anyone have any milk when I’ve ran out! Pretty lucky here.

Under the Duvet

Always been lucky with my neighbours, and I've moved alot over the years.

My mum has horrible neighbours in her last flat, but that was partly because the walls were very thin and next door took umbrage to mum opening her kitchen cupboards or washing up as they could hear it through the wall.

I can occasionally hear my upstairs neighbours but not enough to cause any issues.

Live and let live I say. And remember if you can hear them, they can probably hear you too.
