Diva/moon cup

Obviously this one is more for those of you who have/have had periods...

I've been debating getting a reusable cup now for AGES!

Environmentally, obviously they're much kinder, cheaper in the long run, etc etc...

But I'm wondering...

Will my cup runneth over on heavy days?

Is it a nightmare to empty/change in public?

Is it REALLY not gonna leak?

And is someone who has to use normal/mini non applicator tampons cos nothing else will fit up her chuff without pain gonna be able to use one comfortably?

Help Me!

Should I get one?

Lu

Once you get used to getting it in the right place, they are fecking brilliant! I have been using them for a few years now and even if I bugger it up the leakage minimal

Your mention of them prompted this...I've been meaning to do a thread for AGES...

I'm gonna have to try one!

I'm mostly worried about it fitting comfy tbh.

Does it get under your nails when removing? This is a question that's entered my head on more than one occasion.

Fine at home when there's a nail brush on the sink, but couldn't be worse for work where I'm about to carry someone a plate of food.

Haha I had a feeling it might've... Some have a little thing on the bottom (I think to grab yo remove) that I usually trim off or down, that can catch but usually you can't tell it's there... I love mine

Lol just washing your hands as usual is fine... Home is definitely easier for washing it out before putting it back but just a wipe around with tissue is fine now n then.

I used to get paranoid about tampons making me ill when I was at the end of my period tbh.. No idea why but don't worry now... And towels are just grim so... Had to be done... I have sponges for when I don't want to deal with the cups before sex too lol... Having to remove one is a mood killer

I have always worried too! And always been super paranoid about DVT...

I can't use towels, I just can't, they make me feel icky!

A cup seems to be the way forward!

I love mine, have been using one for years. Was easy to use first time. I don’t have a problem with leakage but then I’m not heavy. Definitely recommend them x

Absolutely brilliant little things.

I didn’t have any leakage or issues. To remove you pinch the bottom to release the suction and it just comes out.

You also get less period pain with them (it’s true!).

Just be careful when sterilising bit to forget it! I’ve sent two to moon cup heaven

I couldn’t get on with it. I didn’t have leakage but found it uncomfortable to wear and made a mess on removal

perth

I've used them for about 5 years now and think they are great. I've very occasionally had some leakage (usually only first thing in the morning when going from horizontal to vertical).
