Having music on while having sex has never been something that has particularly appealed to me. I generally don't want any distractions. But a little while ago I happened to be listening to Sketches of Spain by Miles Davis and there's a song on there called Concierto De Aranjuez. It's the most sumptuous and sensual image evoking tune I've ever heard. Full of mood and tempo changes, it's like a dance. You hear it and you immediately want to dust off the old castanets and give them a damn good shake. This is a song I could have sex to. It's hot Summer evenings, a beautiful woman all wrapped up in your arms, naked bodies writhing and tangled limbs, the scent of sex hanging in the still, warm air.
