A botanical line drawing of an anemone on the lower half of my leg. Left or right, I shall decide on the day.

Relax, enjoy your first one...sounds like it will be a good one...expect it to be uncomfortable...you will be fine...follow the aftercare instructions...it will heal faster...and feel much better after a couple of days...

sounds really unusual - that in itself is good in my books

too many samey or ill thought out tattoos these days.

i hope you will be showing it off on ur profile !

the leg isn't that painful an area, plus if you're lay down, you can't see the blood, which helps

I am very excited about it. I've put it off for years as I've never found anything that I knew I would love forever. My daughter has loads and adores every one.

That's what I though Bussy, too may of the same sort of thing. I'm told it smarts a bit on the ankle but I'm tough, my job entails getting covered in bodily fluids most people haven't heard of; a bit of blood is all in a days work for me.

"A botanical line drawing of an anemone on the lower half of my leg. Left or right, I shall decide on the day."

That sounds lovely. I had a three hour sesh on my leg last and it was fine.

Aftercare for me is wash each day, and for overnight I use a non-adhesive dressing, exudate pad and stockingette. That helps keep lint fluff and the like from the bedclothes off it until it scabs up.

Have fun, if the parlor is any good in Leicester drop us a message pls - I need a good one recommending up there

And definitely make sure you have something decent to eat before hand! I made that mistake before and was ok for the first few hours but after a while the pain nearly got to much, but that was on my lower back and my own fault, it does make a difference, but hopenyou really enjoy it and the after effect

Honestly, suck on a lolly whilst you're having it done. My tatooist swears by it, diverts you attention and keeps your sugar up! X

I have a few on my ankles and onto one foot. It hurt for a bit then went oddly numb. If you feel rough ask them to stop for a minute. Good luck!

It's done. Hurt like fuck and is now a dull sunburn-ish feeling. I'll let it settle for a few days and then post it on my profile.

when it starts to dry it will itch like mad, DO NOT scratch it, it will be hard but if you pull the scabs off the colour will come out and go pacthy so no scratching lol

I had another sitting on my back today so in a couple of days we'll both be sat here trying not to scratch, i'll be thinking of you lol

The burning sensation has just calmed down.

My daughter thinks I'm really cool, I shan't tell her about my piercings.

closer than you think

well done .... hope the pain wasn't too bad!

I use Bepanthem on mine, keeps the scabbing to a minimum which stops the urge to itch

If it itches, slap it. Sounds mental but it helps!

My last 1 on my leg I tried a trick and kept it wrapped up for a week in cling film, gets a bit sweaty and messy but avoided a scab altogether. Bloody uncumfy to sleep with though

The only tip I can offer is this:

Decide what your next one will be because you will want another one

We always used to recommend Prep H in the studio as a healing cream and wrap it in clingfilm quickly to start it healing without scabbing.
