I think about my Ex every day, I miss her energy, but I don't miss the abuse she directed at me..

Do people ever change or is life so short its not worth taking the chance?

That's where I am, life is very peaceful now. But I still have faith in people.. I really, really tried. Presents everything just to see if she would change her actions based on mine. Never happened and I became a worse me trying to save someone else...

Sometimes the Devil you know is better than the Devil you don't. But that's no reason to settle for a less than totally happy situation for both people.

It's tough to be single and have confidence, loneliness is a thing and it can corrupt you in to different decisions you would not usually make.

Once you have finally burnt that bridge, life becomes easier even though it is hard to see it beforehand.

I’m recently single, pre covid, it was a toxic relationship and I’m better off without her. The inevitable slips and sex with her have been the only contact sexually I’ve had since lockdown though.

Status: sadly just a Westlife song that seem poignant after a couple of brandys Friday night.

Not let her back nor do I plan to, yes I get lonely sometimes, but all in all life is peaceful without her.

I would NOT let my ex husband of 21 years back in to my life after all the mental coercion my kids and I endured.

As for my previous narcissistic long term partner of 6 years, again, no way!

Totally understand the loneliness and how it makes you think about lessening your boundaries but being with an abuser or simply an ex can be just as lonely except then yourself esteem is even worse.

Hang in there once we can all get back to nights out hopefully the loneliness will lessen xx
