Jackie Brown is brilliant and it's just starting on Dave.

(The other was Reservoir Dogs. Yes I know you like Pulp Fiction. But it's wank.)

I've been watching you Jim.

Who do you think shaves your balls in the night?

You think they just get magically talced and perfumed each morning?

That doesn't sound realistic does it Jimbo.

Now don't be up late tonight with your friends on here.

I think he is grossly overrated as a director, mostly by himself. I actually like most of his films, but they are by no means the greatest and the man himself is regrettably narcissistic.

What about the often overlooked Tony Scott directed "True Romance" he wrote?

That scene with Chris Walken and Dennis Hopper is awesome.

Pulp Fiction suffers from too much set up and not a tight enough ending, I think he saw it all coming together with the cafe heist, but it doesn't do anything for me. Like you said bits of it are great. But I don't think it works as a film.

c) i like "inglorious bastards"..and "django" what you got against it!!!

Django is 3hr 45mins. Inglorious is 2hr33mins and spelled wrong. just ain't got the patience to sit in my seat and watch Tarrantino's quixotic, wandersome dialogue for that long.

Reservoir Dogs is one of the best films ever and was a shot in the arm for cinema in 1992.

Pulp Fiction blasted into cinemas 2 years later and was another masterpiece. After that Tarantino lost it.

I was in my early twenties when they came out and they were both thrilling cinematic experiences.

Jackie Brown is brilliant. It's so well paced, so well constructed (what you see, when you see it, and what you don't see) and it's Sam Jackson's best ever performance. Ordell is so fucking watchable. You don't like him exactly, but you get him and can see why he does everything he does.

Also, now we are all here, in the future, it's the perfect LA period piece (for the 90s), much more than Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Nope. Ressi Dogs and Pulp also have the added factor of nostalgia for me so it doesn't matter what anyone says those two films will always be my favourites of Tarantinos.

IMO they are crappy and not actually something you can watch and understand properly!

Jackie brown is a good movie

But Reservoir Dogs is just a classic !

It’s one of them you can watch again and still enjoy

I really enjoyed "The Hateful Eight". Not disjointed, although somewhat limited in it's variety of scenes.

But you are quite right. Gotta love Pulp Fiction, particularly for it's characters and actors. The Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta partnership is truly memorable.

But just as a film, it's up there in my top 5 favourite films of all time for storyline, script and entertainment.

Inglorious Basterds was ruined at the end (for me) for stepping out of potential reality into the absurd

However, it cannot be discounted, if for nothing else than introducing Christoph Waltz to a wider audience

Big film fan and I liked Jackie Brown but found it plodding. I appreciate it but I've seen and wouldn't want to watch again. Doesn't have the re-watchability factor for me to want to own where Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Hateful 8 do.

Honourable mention to True Romance which is a corker, written by Quentin, though directed by Tony Scott.

Reservoir Dogs is just a load of guys shouting, and then shooting,at each other. The only decent scene is the diner scene at the beginning. Steve Buschemi rules this scene and is just thrown away for the rest of the movie. Michael Madsens heart just isn't in playing the role of vicious psycho,he does cool, threatening guy pretty well though.

Pulp Fiction has some of the most iconic scenes and lines ever, every character is perfectly cast, the music score is brilliant. Ok,there is a little swearing but we can look past that, cant we.

You can fight me if you like. You'll win easily but you won't change my mind.

I think the majority of his films are good but he needs to reign in the running time.

You see it all the time in his films, scenes that easily could be cut out or added to a DVD extra but not required to move the story along.

I think Jackie Brown is his best work as it’s a proper film that isn’t trying to be clever with its dialogue or characters. They’re sympathetic (the leads) well written (and acted) people on screen with a storyline that makes you root for them throughout the film.

I disagree with Pulp Fiction as I was blown away with the film when I first saw it. Elements of Chris Nolan films as it’s trying to be clever with its multiple stranded storylines.

I won’t fight you on this, my fighting days are behind me but I do agree with you on his best film
