or changed your mind about dating, swinging, having fun... saving for things or spending money on impulse?

Manchester (she/her)

It hasn't, but all of that has been on hold.

My friendships have solidified in that time and when things are safe we can consumate them (again).

I've become much surer of my values and more determined. I don't know where all this strength and energy has come from even though I need much more of it to get through this.

It has made us really appreciate the simple things in life. We always have done to a certain extent, but even more so now.

We are incredibly grateful for what we have and try to enjoy each day.

We are obviously missing our friends, both vanilla and swinging, but we will meet again in time.

I have heard people say they found an inner strength from somewhere, something they did not think they had.

great yarmouth

Its brought me to Fab Swingers.. I guess the combination of restrictions and wants has made me want to be even more impulsive, spend money recklessly.. its very hard to find a balance right now especially when there's less to spend money on.. etc! I have learned I often want what I can't have. Its also opened my eyes to what I want and need.. currently good health first and foremost and adventures

I found I started enjoying a local walk in the park which I never thought about doing before. I agree it has taken me back to some of the simpler things, too.

Chams or Socials

I’ve become less materialistic. Only replaced things if they really needed replacing & bought no new clothes

It’s made me realise how much I love my own company and I don’t have any desire to socialise with anyone.

I stripped away nearly all of my casual acquaintances and concentrated on the ones who count and am in a much better place for it

I’m exactly the same the only thing that will be different is that I will dance even more and go out even more when the government give us back our freedom ...may even start singing in the streets...

Me too,

It's a bit like "well, at least I did that" as I did have big travel plans cancelled.

To be honest nothing but only one thing is I try not to worry too much and just get on with it.

I just try to appreciate the little things in life and when the sunshine is shining it feels little bit nicer

Wow that is really interesting read: I found myself focusing on those genuine friends whom I had not seen as often over the years but they were still there and reconnecting at a more frequent level was amazing.

I also found my aI appreciate the intent behind the gesture - but for me that would be a step towards the dating environment. Not that there is anything wrong with that - ambitions to travel were not as important as I thought.

And I became more... creative; not having some ingredients when cooking or baking was actually a good teacher. But also I discovered the local park. and the golf course was a greatfor a nordic walk.

I d say in a nutshell it was not as bad as I had imagined. But I do understand that some people really struggled with the isolation and my heart goes out to them. I hope everybody has found new ays of managing if we go into more total lockdowns.
