No, I'm genuinly interested in people and what they have to say, if they start droning on too about themselves then I switch off.

I don't really have much to say about myself, unless I'm asked.

Tbh I avoid talking to people if I can

No, I generally hate talking about myself and of I so end up on the subject I'll inevitably think that in boring the other person to death. I'd much rather sit and listen to someone else talk

But back to the original point. I try not to be too self obsessed, although recently you wouldn't have thought so from some of my outpourings.

But based on that description I wouldn’t say I was self absorbed so now I’m confused?

All my friends, my sister, people I work with all ask me for advice. Even people I’ve just met talk to me for a few minutes about general stuff then they just start saying really personal stuff and say stuff like god I dunno why I’m telling you this but feel like I can talk to you. I get that so much from people I hardly know.

Its confusing, can you be self absorbed but a massive empath as well?
