Furloughed and feeling down

Who else is feeling forgotten, depressed, alone and still on furlough?

6mths for me now and the wankers at work think I've had a 6mth holiday...ive not received the correct furlough pay nor holiday pay and ive been told by my employer that I have not accrued any holiday pay whilst on furlough.

Yes I'm feeling really down.. yes. I don't want to go back because my customers have been calling me and telling me how shit the service has been without me and have started buying elsewhere...

But I am expected to go back to work and resolve the shit that they have caused whilst I have been shelved ...

Is anyone else sharing my pain??

Massive hugs Sweetie. I do think you need to reassess what's happening and either talk to your union if you have one or look for something else xx

Hubby going through chemo at the moment, hasn't been over the door step (save for hospital visits) since lock down started. And. Now they are talking of suspending his treatment for 3 months

Atleast you are recieving pay OP. I was off for months with no money coming in at all and now that I've started back I'm earning peanuts.

First off. Whilst furloughed you are still an employee of the company. As such you DO accrue holiday at the usual rate. Holiday days MUST be paid at FULL RATE. This is UK employment law..

Get yourself onto the ACAS website mate and speak to one of their advisers. They can even liase with your employer on your behalf. All free of charge.

Hope that helps.

I know how shit it is too. I'm a self employed contract welder and had no work all year. I'm currently £25,000 down and £10,000 into my savings..

I am feeling the love out there.

I don't want this thread to be just ABOUT ME.

Its for anyone and all in a similar position.

Let's share the love and thoughts to all in a similar position.

Let's talk. Let's share the pain. Let's share our knowledge to assist our comrades in times of difficulty..

Thank you all for your love.

You're very welcome.

You can get through this time and come out the other side. No matter what happens, your Fab friends are here for you. Me included xx

I noticed ACAS has been mentioned. They helped me some years ago. Please contact them to see if they can help and advise you too xx
