I found myself in work making a cuppa when I got in this morning, as always, and listening to the radio while I do so. On the radio was I'm Your Lady by Jennifer Rush and fuck me it brought a tear to my eye

Whats the last song to make you emotional?

On a mooch

Modern songs depends on my mood and whether the words hit a chord at the time, no one song tips me each time I hear it.

The only thing that does is hearing Amazing Grace as it was played at all of my grandparents funerals

Cheshire

Chris and Stevie by Damien Dempsey. A song about the violent deaths of two of his friends.

As with all great Irish singers the masculinity is present within the lyrics but also nostalgia and him expressing his deep pain of losing his friends.

The end of the song is almost like he’s begging the listener to talk about their feelings and reach out.

If you’ve ever been affected by suicidal thoughts or lost someone, I’d recommend the song.

My favourite lyrics are

Put this pussy right in your face

Swipe your nose like a credit card

Gobble me, swallow me, drip down inside of me

Quick jump out 'fore you let it get inside of me

I actually had to pause whilst writing that because the tears were too much

Make it cream, Make me scream,

Out in public make a scene

I don’t cook, I don’t clean

But let me tell you how I got this ring

Please could you pass a tissue? I’m a romantic at heart.

Celine Dion - Because You Loved

The lyrics fit beautifully with what S has done for me, especially since I acquired the disability:

You were my strength when I was weak

You were my voice when I couldn't speak

You were my eyes when I couldn't see

You saw the best there was in me

Lifted me up when I couldn't reach

Tis all true
