I like the idea as it saves having to write a message out only to be ignored but they don't work from my experience x

nothing wrong with a wink. Its a very unintrusive way of showing interest.

If we get a wink from a good looking guy who fits the bill we will wink back

For me, a wink shows interest from either side. It's up to the other party as to what they do next.

I wink as the opener, sounds lazy, but being a single man on here is hard. And sometimes no matter what effort you put in to the message: it gets discarded.. So a wink saves time.

So I usually wink if I'm not sure if I'm their type. Say I'm a year off their age preference then I'll send a wink, that way they can check out my profile and see for themselves without me being intrusive

They don't seem to serve any purpose for me. The ones I send don't get replies, and on the rare occasions when I get one my response gets ignored.

Of I get a wink from someone I like the look of I'll return the wink and leave it a little while to see of they send a message. If not after I'll send one saying thanks and what I like about their profile

Yes I would if I liked their profile, but would usually just wink back. I have only sent a first message twice.. still shy!
