Facebook growing stale

west here ford shire

So I’m on FB ( real me) had to take Stella’s profile down

But my thing is, I’m finding Facebook is so full of shit, idiotic posts by moronic people, far too much USA knobs, I’m thinking of just killing my profile on there..

FB is a waste of time

More power to FAB

Facebook fell to pieces when the ads took over in my opinion. If the social media platforms had paid versions with no ads, I’d pay.

FB is FAB for stalkers o and for keeping in touch with distant friends.

You can block everything else you know.

Yes, especially got worse in this covid era. I've actually removed my self from most social media as I found it a place for show offs, look at me and mostly people arguing with stranger 500 miles away.

I found I was looking for too much time at rubbish and getting angry at the shear numbness of some people.

It’s the rise of the keyboard warrior and the face book political /medical experts that get to me

I recently served a 7 day fb jail sentence for inciting violence

Told the hubby in a comment on a meme “don’t be silly you know I’d kick your butt”

Yes absolutely and that would certainly be one of it's uses, great for remembering birthdays too and more things besides. If you can see it as a tool that you can pick up or leave as you want ie you have a certain discipline? Then great. The problems lie in the "need" to pick up and check it every 5 minutes, or to repost or put up pics of food and all that fluff. Judging by my current addiction to these forums(probably exacerbated by covid) I'm not sure that rabbit hole is for me.

I used it for the first couple of years when it came out. Got sick to death of having to go into it to change settings to stop being mithered to fucking death. Deleted all pics etc. This was years ago, tried to start a new profile a while ago (still have the same email address I have had for the last twenty-odd years) and it wouldnt let me! Fuck em. Who needs it, really?

I deactivated a couple of months ago and it’s been a breath of fresh air. I have a profile with no personal info and just follow pages that I need such as my hairdresser etc now

I find it a bit boring and it annoys me that when I Google something I get loads of ads popping up. I think a lot of my friends on there have gone over to Insta.

Insta and FB are one and the same.

Both are a crock.

Facebook is for the kids mainly or the people who used to go on Jeremy Kyle. I am not surprised its stressing people out who are order.

Facebook is not a waste of time if you know how to use it properly and remove the adverts, it a fantastic tool for small businesses and to connect to friends and family but it’s just my opinion

Yep, Facebook is shit (always has been tbh) and it will just get worse.

It seems like generally school kids and college students think it's just for old people and avoid it. Not a good sign for FB.
