Back in the day I got to number one with me grouting the tiles in my bathroom, there was something for everyone, my arse crack was showing for the ladies and for the blokes it was an excellent tiling job carried out on time and on budget.

Straight to the point. I don't think there is a tried and tested formula. It seems to vary quite a bit. I think the biggest help is having lots of people on friends lists or you're on lots of hotlist. What's on show doesn't matter so much if you have fans.

It’s more to do with how many people’s hotlists you’re on. I’ve been on page 1 many times and I never have more than 20 friends.

I dunno, I’ve seen a few new accounts go in straight to number one without a fan base, dunno if they’d been touring and had a big underground following, but they’re usually one hit wonders.
