Couples - let's share the love!

I seem to have read a lot recently about why people don't want to be in relationships, why they bring nothing but pain and hassle, and that most end up in heartbreak so why bother?

I wanted to restore some balance with this thread by highlighting some of the positives about being in a long term relationship.

1.Someone is there to make you a cup of tea in the morning.

2. If you haven't shaved your legs it doesn't matter, sex is still on the cards.

3. Someone is there to pick you up when you fall.

Let’s keep it positive - share the couple love!

He does the dishes because I hate it. I change the bedding because he hates it. Also it sounds really sad but we get super excited coming back from the supermarket and showing the other the exciting thing we got for dinner . Also only paying for half of things is awesome.

I'm sober two years next week. He helps me maintain that. He was diagnosed with cancer last year.. I'm helping him through chemo. We both cook, clean..i do the ironing because although he can he takes too long. He does the bins, litter tray and other "dirty" jobs because he thinks he should. We are not only lovers totally aexualky compatible but also best friends. Never argued, ever. One of us will "fold" and the next time, the other gets their way. It's a partnership. I worship him and he adores me.

Yes!!!

I love you Mrs TMN.

100% agree with what has been said. Also....

I have known D a lifetime, we have been through so much together you wouldn't believe it!!

To have had him hold my hand through it all is a miracle I believe.

Yes, some couples are bad for each other. But there are some that are made for each other. I respect people's choices not to be in a relationship just like I respect any of their choices full stop.

I also respect those couples that choose to be together against all odds.

Someone who makes you laugh daily

Someone who doesn't judge you

Someone who loves you for who you are, no matter what

Someone to cuddle up to

Someone you can talk to about absolutely anything

Someone who supports you and has your back

Someone to come home to

Someone to cuddle and put your cold feet on.

Life is wonderful when you are married to your best friend and soulmate

Oh and also someone to share a fantastic sex life with (and involve others now and again)

She would support any life decision I made, and I would do the same for her

She gives great cuddles and is annoying in the most adorable ways sometimes

She looks great wrapped around me

Should of added it's not all plain sailing, you have to both work at keeping a marriage special, and keep

making the effort, butt you reap the rewards ten fold.

Communication is key.

Shout out andbig to all the long term couples.

I've spent over half my life with Peach and hope to spend the rest of it together to. She's my wife, lover, best friend and favourite kinky slut bunny. I honestly wouldn't be here if it weren't for her

20 years and he is still the person I want to wake up with each morning and can't wait to see at the end of the day.

He will listen to me talk crap and put up with my hormonal moods. I would never tell him this but he also still makes me laugh!

Sure he annoys me and sometimes I'm sick of the sight of him but he's my past, present and future

Lovely thread and Northern Stars you got it spot on for what it is for me. When you find it, it just all falls naturally into place, even the working at it, as you both want it..... except the marriage part, that’s not for me

He is not only my partner and lover, but he's also my best friend.

He's always there for me. Whenever I need to rant about stressful day at work or just feel sad for no reason as soon as he wraps his arms around me I am content.

I am a weirdo and I like to be childish at times and we laugh together a lot.

I want to grow old with this man

27 years and still madly in .Can’t put it all into words as it would take to long.

Someone to tell you when your wrong even if you don’t want to hear it.

Someone to love you unconditionally.

Someone who is always there for you in the good times as well as the bad..

Enough of the mushy stuff ..Sex with my lovely husband whenever I’m horny.

I'm very envious of all the happy couples on this thread, its a dream to me to have what you've got

Sadly though many regularly post that they too would like a relationship I've not met one in the 2+ years of me being on fab.

Just coming back to this now, thank you for all the beautiful contributions! I started off lighthearted but some of you have gone very deep

Unconditional love is a really important aspect for me. When I'm having a really tough time; when I'm being a dick; when I feel frumpy and unattractive: Mr is always there for me. It works both ways and it can be tough but deep down, we're always on the same team. For someone to know you so completely with all your imperfections and still choose you? That's love. X
