False nails removal.

Recently bought some false nails nightmare to remove . Even after eventually got them off thinking my real nails where going get ripped off lol.

Looking for a good way remove false nails and glue any suggestions girls .

Had them in warm water for ages they didnt want come off . Tried nail polish remover still no movement got them off e eventually but glue still on nails .

The warm water won’t do anything, nail polish remover is a good try but make sure that you haven’t got acetone free remover.

Some polish remover doesn’t contain acetone and can be used to just remove polish from false nails but acetone should dissolve the plastic in the nail and the glue

Thanks for info I think the nail varnish was acetone free

Put me off wearing them again I defo try that xxx

Do yourself a favour and bin them. I wore them for years and ruined my own. I stopped wearing them over 3 years ago and my own nails still haven't fully recovered. I don't think they ever will.

If you have some on now, soak them in acetone. Never, force them off. If you're still having problems, speak to a beautician who specialises in nails.

I use nail foils as an alternative after having a problem removing glued nails. They just peel off but will stay in place for several days if needed. Take a few minutes to put on and seconds to remove.

Best way is to appreciate the nails you have and look after them. Cuticle oil, nail straightener and a base coat before putting a colour on top.

You can use a nail file on your nails to gently remove the glue. I was given that tip by a beauty therapist when I had a problem at the end.

I don't use false bailey, but when I use gel varnish I have to soak them in remover for about 20 minutes (soak cotton wool in the varnish remover, pop them on your nails, wrap them up in tin foil), scrap it off then file the surface of my nails.

File the nail on the top. Pure acetone from chemist. Gauze. Soak Gauze in acetone and place on each nail. Wrap in foil leave for 10 mins then should come off easily with a cuticle stick.

Glue as in glue not designed to stick false nails?

Difficult carefully use a sharp modellers knife to “slice” glue away go careful though

I don't use fake nails, but when I've had gel nails I soak cotton wool in acetone and put that on my nails, then wrap them up and leave for half an hour. I imagine a similar process, although maybe more intensive, would work for fake nails.

Never going to use false nails again. Acetone works but takes ages to melt the damn glue.
