All a star sign is is a group of stars that, with a very vivid imagination, you can draw lines between to create a picture. They were first named (to the best of my knowledge) by the Babylonians and developed by the Greeks among others. There are other named constellations beside the 12 we in Western cultures have come to know. Every now and then someone picks up on something and journalists looking for drivel that will fill news space spread it around till all of a sudden a constellation that was first named thousands of years ago is 'discovered' by NASA and everyone is acting surprised.
