"Crikey reading up on that twitter page ..it seems to be very dangerous for women there" I do find it ridiculous when people who are clearly biased activists use an incredibly biased activist account as their "source" for information. I also find it ridiculous when statements are made about Cyprus being dangerous for women, particularly coming from the UK in light of the Rotherham, Jimmie Saville, Sarah Everard and other national scandals, particularly when the UK has the highest r*pe and crime rates in Europe, and Cyprus has always been statistically marked as either the lowest or one of the five lowest crime rates in the EU, both from official statistics and charity crime rate polling of the public. Cyprus dangerous for women? Give me a break mate, especially coming from the UK. And yes, I'm a born and raised Londonder. | |||

In the UK, you’re virtually guaranteed to get away with r*pe. " It's very sad, I'm a victim myself so I understand your frustrations with the system. However, you can't convict someone without substantial evidence (which is right), and very sadly in a lot of these cases there's minimal evidence. It turns into a he said/she said thing and no court will ever convict solely on what one person said happened. So you're quite right, most cases will never see justice. | |||

I was also a victim of this in the UK, but also agree a court can't convict someone of a crime without evidence. | |||
