Eddie Van Halen RIP

Eruption what a show case for his guitar genius.

Battled bravely and with dignity for 10 years.

Legend.

Worthing

One of the greatest guitarists ever. Took the sound to a new level with the release of the bands debut in 1978. I saw Van Halen at the Donington festival in 1984.

Devastated.

Inspirational, unique and a true legend.

Apart from the 2 Donnington’s my abiding memory was of him at Wembley in 1995 when they blew Bon Jovi off stage.

This has been a truly shit year for rock deaths.

Really gutted

Another one of my teenage heros gone..

So many of my walks to school in the early 80s were spent listening to him and his band on my Sony cassette walkman
