So 44 years on and AC/DC are set to release a new single and a brand new album which yet again proves that aging rock still runs the show.

So from the opening "High voltage" and Bon Scott in 1976 to the anticipated next offering in 2020 from Brian Johnson... What's your favourite ac/dc song.....

To be fair, a lot of bands release a lot of singles and albums, most evaporate into the ether. I personally would love a rock revival, but only time will tell if that actually happens.

My favourite AC/DC tune is probably Highway To Hell.

I've seen them twice, Monsters of rock Donnington and Subiaco Oval when I lived in Perth Australia which is where Bon is buried.

I honestly don't think I could genuinely single out any track over another as they're all equally awesome. Aussies refer to them as Acker Dacker.

Thunderstruck seems to be a very popular choice.

Back in black and highway to hell equally as popular. Long way to the top not been mentioned much, I love the uniqueness of bagpipes as a "solo" rather than Angus Young knocking out a guitar solo

Hah, so I went to a fancy dress NYE party at the Academy (nightclub in Bournemouth) back in the 1980's and from the fancy dress shop got a schoolboy outfit. All night long was Angus Young it was brilliant. Many dirty deeds done that night with a whole lotta Rosie and she shook me all night long

AC/DC were the first band that I ever saw at the Kings Hall, Derby on the Dirty Deeds tour in 1977.

I had a day off work to buy Back in Black when it was released in 1980, and that is the only ringtone that I've ever had

AC/DC have a great lineup of classic tracks, but for me two stand out as my absolute favourites

Night crawler as mentioned above is one, an incredible track with Bon delivering delicious vocals while the rest of the band deliver a blues riff, just a great track and very different to the hits

The other is the quiet and reflective track Ride On which tells the story of a band at the peak of their powers, yet it can sometimes be a lonely journey - just awesome, have a listen if it passed you by.

Hells bells, even more so when I found out the bell they took on tour was made in our town, and they tried to record Bell for the intro in our local park, the bell they toured with was a replica of that bell, Denison Bell.

I had the privilege of seeing them twice.

The first time was a Hampden with the Black Ice Tour, which was absolutely amazing the crowd interaction was unbelievable. The whole stadium was bouncing.

The second time was again at Hampden 4 years later, but it was dire.

I left half way through.

Fair play to them the have been rocking it for decades, but they are getting past it now and anyone expecting the full AC/DC experience will be left a bit deflated.

My claim to fame ... I saw AC/DC on the Highway to Hell tour in Birmingham in 1979 - with Bon Scott .... and then saw them again on the Back in Black tour in Sheffield with Brian Johnson

.... always been a mega fan, but really can’t help thinking ... leave it... they were sooooo energetic, and high octane, I can t imagine this is possible now - also now Malcom Young has gone ... time to draw a line????
