Challenging. One of those, prove who you are, sink or swim type episodes.

I'm doing ok and taking on way too much. But I'm tired.

"Not being able to visit family

I nearly lost a parent and I wouldn't have been able to go to their funeral.

That sucked.

Shit in some ways, great in others.

Split from a long term relationship, but focusing on getting for and finding and developing me (and I'm much happy for it)

Can't go out socialising and drinking as much (and I rarely drink alone), so I'm saying money, I'm much healthier and I'm focusing on hobbies and learning new skills in the time instead.

Don't get to see my work mates, but not commuting so not using as much fuel, saving more money and seeing more of my kids.

Kids can't see their grand parents, but they have learned to use Zoom so can chat to them easier and more often.

Have to wear masks in shops, but people give me more space.

It is definitely a shit situation, but I believe you can always find some positives.

I would say I'm some respects its been a rather good year. We've really made the best of it, the sunshine, the beach and the sea (hence many of our 2020 pictures).

But then I remember Chameleons is still close and that sad fact totally over shadows all of the positive things to come out of this year

Not been the best for anyone, but I've tried to make the best of it. New house, loads of work and a little budding relationship has just reared its head! Can't complain it's not really been that 'awful'.......

Apart from my 2nd positive test has just landed... Here we go again

Ah well, batten down and eat junk food and drink wine and keep away from the human race for a while!! !

I've had worse. Actually for me, last year might have been worse than this one.

Discovered a really marvellous interest that has pretty much saved me over lockdown that I probably wouldn't have discovered if it wasn't for lockdown.

It's been a decent year for me. Got a promotion at work before lockdown, then worked from home so saved even more money and got into a good workout routine at home.

Although I've felt lonely, it just means I've put the extra effort into keeping in touch with friends which I've previously struggled with.

I feel sorry for those that have lost or can't see loved ones though and I hope your situation will improve going forward

I've had a productive year, diy ect. It's been great being with my fella and making memories. But the rest has been crap, covid related, everything cancelled, work downturn, loss of money and lack of adding notches to the bed posts.

Aside from not seeing friends and family as much as I'd like and partners working ridiculous shift patterns as a result of Covid, I've had a brilliant year. I met a man and we're very happily in love - I'm poly and it's so perfect and just clicks for me. I've saved a lot of money by not commuting so the mortgage is ever decreasing far more rapidly than I thought. My kitchen is looking beautiful, I'm now contemplating a colour change scheme though. I've been able to develop stronger, albeit different, relationships with people I care about because we've spoken on a level we might not have done without lockdown. And I think as a person, on the whole, I've become far more mellow and happier with who I am. I like me, I'm still a work in progress but I'm comfortable with who I am in a way I wasn't before.

Set myself some personal development goals during lockdown, passed to career exams and just secured a new role with a great company.

Not too bad but equally, I know of some friends who have had their lives decimated by this pandemic.

Hopefully we come through this soon.

Earlier this year I lost my job, forcing me to move home, split from my girlfriend. I thought I was at rock bottom.

I’ve since got a new job, which has turned out to be better, a new home, which is more homely than my previous one and joined FAB and met with a gorgeous woman, who I’m enjoying spending time with.

There’s definitely a lot of positives to take from this year...

For me, best year ever. I decided to give up work and I've known more peace and tranquillity than I ever had before. If I hadn't have been forced to stop working and travelling, I would have carried on until the day I drop dead. Plus, I get to spend all the time now with my cats. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I think it’s been good that people have been made to see how many, many people live their lives regardless of any virus.

Lots of people live alone with no friends or family to support them so no, I have no sympathy for those who’ve had to do it for a few months.

On a personal note, I’ve been lucky enough to still have a job and I feel for those who haven’t and are struggling.
