Great for the likes of us as we can arrange meets fairly quickly. But what do you use?

Android, iPhone or Blackberry.

This isn't to discuss which is better (we'd be arguing for days otherwise). Just name what you've got.

It's a cracking phone. Bit on the big side which is either good or bad depending on your pockets. Upgraded my S just a few weeks ago and no complaints so far.

I go through a battery a day when I am perving, opps.....I mean working, so I bought a spare so that I always have one in my pocket which is fully charged if I'm away from the car.

Can't do that with an iPhone.....sorry, couldn't resist a dig.

i got mine from one of those 2nd hand shops! Was brand new, still in box and got it for 150quid!! Took it to a 3mobile shop and got a sim only deal, 15quid a month for all you can eat data, 300mins to any network and 3000 txts, best move iv ever made!

Thats a cracking deal..those shops can be brilliant for deals like that, I used to by phones for work in them, 20-30 quid a pop...normally lasted a couple of years, and it was no big deal getting them dirty, I dont think smart phones are for dirty or wet enviroments

I have a wildfire for personal use, and am torn between HTC one X or the galaxy s3. Also I have heard there are some new ones stacked away ready for when 4G technology is launched. So not sure what to do.

For work I have a blackberry, good app for that is drivesafe, it reads texts and emails to you whilst driving.

I looked at that, but they are slated on battery life, small keypad and you either cant add its hard to add you own ring tones..

The guy in the phone shop said they are decent phone but behind on the windows software at the moment..

Nice comfortable phone though

I've currently got the Nokia N8, due an upgrade at the end of the year, so looking at Galaxy or HTC next, Nokia are just as limited as iphones in some ways.

sony ericsson experia arc here,great phone,great camera,easy to use.

android have fantastic apps.my favs are shazam,and google sky maps.

the major advantage it has over the i phone is,sony ericsson have actually managed to integrate a usable phone,WOW!!!

sorry,but for me, the i phone is the emperors new clothes of phones.

not long upgraded to a Galaxy S2, only disappointment with it is the battery life, not very long, still haven't quite worked out how to get your own ringtones on it, and it makes all manner of weird and wonderful noises when I get texts, mails and updates, just don't know which one is which.. lol..

Got an iPhone 4s only as I wanted it to run a mobile wifi for my iPad 1

Always been a Sony Ericsson up to then which I adored, last was a vivaz, miss the battery life but am going to invest in one of those covers from amazon that has a built in battery to boost the life of iPhone which is shocking I must say, especially when using net or camera!

Good apps, viber, photosafe and my disk, great for hiding those photos and vids u do t want ur family seeing by mistake!!!!

HTC Desire rooted. Basically means all the potential of the phone is opened up, manufactures restrictions removed. There is so much you can do and change once you 'root' your phone. Android all the way, you can even even make your own 'apps' using Googles app maker...free if course, unlike apples merchandise.

On another note, Apple have had to change the name of their new phone/notepad designed for children. Apparently the ' i-Touch Kids' was deemed inappropriate.

My I phone 3GS connects perfectly via Bluetooth to my garmin sat nav for hands free. Far better than the Nokia N95 I had.

My I phone is now 3 years old and works fine

Had my HTC Desire for the 2 years of my contract. Was a great phone.

Upgraded via Carphone..... (other mobile stores available!)

Now have a HTC one, lovely phone.

Only downfall is... it's a sealed unit, you cant get at the battery, meaning you cant get a replacement for it or buy one as a spare

for me my iPhone 4s works well with my mac and iPad...so it was a natural choice to get one....

i agree there are things it could do better.....like bluetooth properly....stream music properly....and have a block numbers option....but it is good enough

Hey Tell....

My definition is a spoken text message, done in the way of an old CB radio perhaps, in the way that you keep your finger on a button to record and it sends once it's let go. Ideal in that my younger lad uses an old phone of mine to play games, no sim card, with wifi access he can send me messages using Hey Tell.

Drippler.....

Search for your specific phone in the market, for example 'Drippler sensation', there's news regular news updates for each specific phone, so not hassled with pointless information on other phones. they have descriptions on apps and other useful bits regarding each phone. recently explained how to root my phone, hence my question in previous post.

MP3 Music Download....

I've not found every song I've searched but have found many, ideal for those one off songs I like, search and download to phone then I create a playlist in my music app.

Apex Launcher.....

As much as I like HTC Sense I find it crashes too often, I swapped launcher to 'Apex' and found it doesn't, I'm liking it over other launchers, easy to use and offers more.

I think that is enough for now, lol

There are no side effects once rooted..you open the full potential....have a look via Google. The only possible side effect when actually rooting your phone if flashing it, is you can potentially destroy your phone, so either be prepared to sacrifice your phone or have it done by a tec whizz. I did mine myself. It will obviously also void any warranty on your phone. I've had my Desire 2 years now and with it rooted and modded, there is no phone on the market that comes close to what my phone can do. There's a multitude of forums out there to help you get the most out of your phone.

I love my iphone (4) atm as cant see the need to upgrade

never before did I "nned" a mobile phone until I got the iphone - now Im lost without it.

I have an Ipad, two lap tops and two desktops in the house but its the phone I use the most

As for fav app - has to be Shazzam - always using it in the car when I hear something I like

All the kids round here have iphones they love them. I think if you are big its prob better to get a grownup phone though but if you want to be down with the kids get an iphone.
