I am bi. Very few of my friends, and none of my family know. I sometimes think about 'coming out', but at the same time, don't like labels. Pretty sure my dad would not be able to comprehend. Equally as sure that my friends would be cool about it.

Anyone else in, or been in this position?

I came out as bi to my family in my early teens. My mum was fine with it, my grandparents just didn't acknowledge it at all.

I did get a bit of backlash from 'friends' but I'm still glad to be out and proud.

My friends all know and always have...my family probably suspects but I've never told them just cos I've never had a serious relationship with another woman. If I did, they'd have no issue, wouldn't matter to them so long as I was happy

I've never needed to 'come out' anyone that really knows me just always knew. I'm not ashamed of who I am and don't feel a need to hide it. I also know I'm lucky to be surrounded by people that think this way.

I came out to my friends and family in my early teens. Cost me all but a few of my school friends but I made new better friends. My family were really cool with it. Now I would be honest if someone asked but I don't go shouting it from the rooftops either! Mr.

I've only got 2 cousins and an uncle that I keep in touch with and they don't know, other than that if anyone asks then I will tell them, but I don't go shouting it from the rooftops

I think truth is many bisexuals dont have any incentive in "coming out" since the majority seem to just keep same sex partners as shags and the opposite sex for proper relationships.

Unless youre going to introduce your partner to parents etc, whats the point?

My son told me when he was in high school that he was bisexual. Initially he was quite upset telling me but when I explained I thought he was maybe gay so being bisexual was only an extra piece of info it seemed to calm him down. He asked me to tell our family as he had told 2 close friends the previous night and wanted to tell the rest of his friends once family knew.

All our family, friends and his friends families have been totally supportive.

I came out to my wife last year, and since then I've told one of my best friends. One just said she already knew.

Have no intention to go 'public' or to tell my family. It won't impact those around me in day to day life, so there's no need to tell them as far as I'm concerned. It may impact who we meet here, so I'm open about it here. X

This is me as well. I'm very happy and contented but I seem to have two lifes. Family and friends who have no idea and friends of Alex who obviously aren't bothered.

That’s such a shame as you like what you like it doesn’t change you as a person.

My son was lucky as nobody changed their views on him although probably most people thought he was gay so being bisexual was just a side we hadn’t thought of. Most of his best friends are female so maybe that made a difference but our whole family support him and it hasn’t made a difference.

They aren’t really good friends if they acted that way though xx

Mum is trying really hard to.

Dad told me he’d always be my father. That floored me.

Two weeks later he told me he wanted sex with me!!!!!!

I no longer have him living in my annexe. He’s in a nursing home.

I'm bisexual and I'm not out to anyone, except those I've met

I work in construction and its still a very 'manly' place to work

I've no idea how my workmates would react if I came out

But I'm pretty sure there would be comments made and the some graffiti on the toilet walls about the cocklover on the site

So for now I'm quite happy to keep it as it is

I'm Bi - I had a 4 year relationship with a woman in my 20's that my family chose not to acknowledge or talk about.

And were silently celebrating when I then went on to a relationship with a man like my bisexuality had gone away

My friends know and take me as I am.

I no longer have any family left to disappoint so if I ever have a relationship again their gender won't be an issue.

My sex life on the other hand is my business.

This is a good point. Unless I'm lucky enough to find a long term relationship, why tell my family about my fun.

Though I think the random hook-ups involved would be more distressing than the gender of my partner's.

Most of my friends know that I swing with all genders.

It seems there's a difference on here with some people who are just sexually bi (just having sex with both sexes) and those who want relationships with both sexes.

As I don't want to date guys I don't tell anyone I'm bi as I don't think anyone needs to know where I stick my cock :p

I am attracted to masculine men.

Due to my religion and local culture (south east asian), I only crossdress and meet other men when I am in the UK/Ireland/ Europe.

I don't crossdress or even get involve in any gay activities back in where I reside and live.

I believe that living both worlds ( as a man in my country and TV in the UK/Europe) completes me better and I am very contented.

I am able to be who I really am but at the same time, respect my religious, family, social and cultural norm and expectations.

I never had an open dialogue with my family about anything, let alone sex. Both my parents were sexually very repressed, and other people in my family were helplessly homophobic. I grew up not sharing my private life with them, and when I realised I was bi nothing changed. But since I moved to Brighton I've been out to everyone else but family.

Both bi, but only a very select few know. It's not that we actively look for same sex fun. We're just comfortable with it if the opportunity came up.

There's no need to 'come out' to family and friends. As far as they are concerned we're a 'normal' married couple.
