But I do get sent all over the place and that requires me staying in hotels and eating in restaurants. Having the hospitality sector completely shut down is a well just a stupid idea. Speaking to the barman two minutes ago and he is glad he still has a job. But hey I respect your opinion.

I do agree with you but from what I've witnessed is regular people during the day that seem to be the offenders. The hotel im in they are very strict. Unless you are staying there nobody else is allowed in. Its mostly contractors from what I've seen.

"I went to TGI then to a small pub on monday. TGI: mask on to the table and anytime you left it, scan for the menu. Normally ordering with the waitress. The pub: Small place but still masks on whenever not seated, and table service. Yes, I am a selfish moron for going on a date, because being single this past 7 months has been incredibly easy and the local businesses absolutely do not need money and support right now. Mental health absolutely does not matter and we should all lock ourselfs away and throw away the key for the next 6 months minimum, who cares if some end up on the end of a rope because of it. I went to the cinema for the first time in 6 months at the weekend because whilst I can stream and watch any amount of TV indoors, I'm working from home and have been through the entire pandemic so the cabin fever is very much real at the moment. I was self-isolating for two weeks before lockdown started, since then I've been either working from home or on furlough, I leave the house maybe twice a week for essentials and I haven't seen anyone I even vaguely consider a friend for seven months. My depression and loneliness keeps getting worse, but I'm doing what needs to be done. Don't you dare suggest that I'm not worried about mental health.

"It’s not selfish to go out if you follow the guidelines. If you choose not to that’s fine. I’ve been out a few times locally. Mostly to eat and also helping to keep the local restaurants from going down. I haven’t broken any laws and I won’t be. If you don’t want to go out then don’t but don’t have a go at others when they’re doing nothing wrong. "

You lot are advanced, I've just been out to catch breakfast and saw someone banging two stones together, trying to make fire. I told him youd be better off rubbing two sticks instead. "I was in Newbury last night where I waited to get into a Toby carvery and then I was asked to scan with my phone and then asked for my reg and name before entry. Now I just entered a pub in Reading and I have been asked to download an app before I could order a drink which I just did and now they don't want to take my cash because its gone past 9:30pm .. back home in Swansea its a different scenario again. How is it where you live? " Also, it's not that they don't WANT to take your cash after that time, they simply cannot. Our last orders is 9.20. That allows 10 mins to serve and deliver the drinks to the table. We need to start asking people to leave at 9.50 to give them the chance to go to the toilet and get their coats on etc. They absolutely MUST be off the premises by 10. Not 10.01. 10. I'm not prepared to lose my job or face a fine because of someone who doesn't want to follow the rules. I don't deserve that, I'm simply trying my best to keep a roof over my head in an extremely turbulent time as I'm watching other companies in our industry make huge redundancies. If people can't follow the rules they need to understand their own behaviour could easily cost someone their job or home. It ain't about a pint, it's about survival

"the reason things change from one place to another is because each place has different software, different service cycles and different key areas. Our place has had 3 changes to the rules in under a week. If I went somewhere that already has order at the table software and app, then that's exactly what I'd have to do. It's been very unclear as to exactly which track n trace needed do be completed by the guest, but there must be at least one done or we must refuse service. So can either do the government one, the NHS one or both. Even if the government one is done we still need to encourage customers to do the NHS one too. The NHS one is much quicker to complete once downloaded and will be in a lot of places. It makes me laugh all the people saying they don't want the government knowing where they are or tracking their movements, when they're the same people on facefuck or other social media "checking in" to the gym, restaurants, pubs, and even their homes really, what's the difference?! In restaurants and pubs etc it's mandatory for customers to wear a mask from the moment they walk through the door (unless exempt). Can be removed once seated, but to be put on when leaving the table (so to go for a fag, a wee, or home) It must all be table service, so dependant as said above on the software the premises has. Mine is full table service as we don't have an "order to table" app." Big hugs xx

Last orders bell goes at 21.15, last drink served at 21.30 and everyone out by 21.45 so the pub can shut up and lights off by 22.00. Doors are locked as well when tables are full so no one can just wander in and mask must be worn unless you are sat eating or drinking. No one wants to risk the little bit of livelihood they have left for someone who wants an extra pint or couple of minutes

Some are amazing and understand, cooperate and realise that without the measures in place (even though they're changing re:masks and track n trace) that they wouldn't even have the option to come out to eat as we'd all be bastard closed. People need some real fucking problems and to be adult enough to deal with them by themselves.

Also, it's not that they don't WANT to take your cash after that time, they simply cannot. It ain't about a pint, it's about survival Have to say our pubs are taking it seriously around here. Last orders bell goes at 21.15, last drink served at 21.30 and everyone out by 21.45 so the pub can shut up and lights off by 22.00. Doors are locked as well when tables are full so no one can just wander in and mask must be worn unless you are sat eating or drinking. No one wants to risk the little bit of livelihood they have left for someone who wants an extra pint or couple of minutes " Exactly, it has to be taken seriously. It's really highlighted just how entitled people are, or at least believe they are. As I say, some are fantastic and others simply don't like being told "no" That's part of the 10pm curfew. People prove they can't be trusted to follow guidelines when they're sober, so logically the later they're out and more they drink the harder it will be to try to reason with them. We have 30 mins to clean up and leave the premises ourselves. It normally takes us an hour at least as by that time we have minimum staff on. Now we're having to keep a full team on just to be able to get cleaned up in 30 mins. It can't get left til the morning in case there's an inspection first thing. It's harder than people realise. Can you imagine if we had a "score on the door" inspection and we had ran out of time on the night to get all the jobs completed? Our 5 star rating would nosedive through circumstances, so we're having to pay out more in wages than we would need to, to be inspection ready

"I really think this has exposed some horrible entitlement, more than there already was, and it's those with the least power (again!) who are bearing the fucking brunt of it. If you don't want to follow the damn rules, cheese on toast is a goddamn option." Indeed. Also makes me chuckle how many people "didn't know" they needed a mask.... Yeah alright mate, you were here like a rat up a drainpipe for the eat out to help out so I know you watch the news!

"Just pay by cash, half the island has no cell phone signal anyway. Mind you we still don't know how to send a text thing." I always do but cash seems to be be dying out in some places.
