Things you had as a child a trip down memory lane

A box at end of your bed

Just been chatting with my FwB about things we had as a young child which you don't really see anymore.

Found out we both had one of those stuffed dog's on wheels, anyone else have one?

I have not seen one for years. What about other children's toys you may have had and don't see anymore.

Teddy Ruxpin, he came everywhere with me and several times had to be sent off for repairs.

I found him in a bag of old belongings in my old car in the back of my mums garage about 10 years ago and he hadn’t stored well. He looked like one of the toys found in Sid’s room in toy story

Wow a right trip down memory lane there. I remember just about everything listed and had some of them myself.

Kids really are missing out on being kids. Xbox, computers, PS4 everything handed to them on a screen no using their imaginations.

I never really played with toys, I preferred to play with the pots and pans. Nowadays heuristic play is popular in early years

I loved crafty things and would spend hours colouring, drawing and painting and books, couldn't read fast enough and always outside

I loved imaginary play and small world, loved my dolls house and would spend hours arranging the furniture

York

I had a green monster face on my bike that made machine gun, laser and grenade sound effects and it's eyes lit up, came from saving up tokens from Monster Munch crisps. Also had Kelloggs Cockerell shaped reflectors on my wheels from cornflakes

Powerballs, used to be able to bounce them right over the roof of the house!

Action Force/GI Joe figures (too violent and militaristic for todays wimpy kids)

Sega Game Gear (tiny screen and took about 8 AA batteries!)

I also had Evil Kneval and the Airfix Flight Deck both where a huge let down, those old TV adds used to make them look like they would be great fun.
