I LOVE sweet potato pie! Oh my god it's been years since I made one.
Might have to next week....."I've noticed a lot of people think its a main meal 'cos they hear 'potato' and think WTF when you say with cream, not realising its a vert tasty desert. I'd bake about a dozen of them at a time and me and my 3 lads would devour the lot within a week | |||

I LOVE sweet potato pie! Oh my god it's been years since I made one.
Might have to next week.....
I've noticed a lot of people think its a main meal 'cos they hear 'potato' and think WTF when you say with cream, not realising its a vert tasty desert. I'd bake about a dozen of them at a time and me and my 3 lads would devour the lot within a week "Exactly. If you do it with more than a bra and pj bottoms on and remember to hold on to the tin when you remove it from the oven rather than letting it slip in the cloth and rest on your stomach. I do love a simple sponge with additions!" ive tried a few variants with it lemon goes down well so does chocolate chip rhubarb (homegrown) gooseberrys (homegrown) jam cherrys ( glazed ) black current pineapple strawberries lightly chopped up fresh fruit ones have to be frozen or soon eaten they tend to spoil splitting the victoria bun to make a small bun cake | |||

I think people sometimes forget that a recipe can usually be easily divided so if there is only one or two people they don't end up with 24 cupcakes to eat in the space of a day or so lol | |||
