How much of connection with a person do you base on looks?

I mean, you have to be slightly attracted to someone for any kind of relationship to go any further.

But do you find people grow on you?

I think people can definitely grow on you, as the personality shines through, so that you're suddenly taken aback and look at them anew but there needs to be some sort of attraction there in the first place

Yeah people grow on me personality wise but sexual attraction doesn't. It's either there at the start or it's never going to be. For me sexual attraction is based on looks. Shallow? Probably.

They absolutely grow on me. There can be some that I think mmm not bad then I get talking to them and it turns into wow he’s the hottest man I’ve ever seen.

This for me too. Once I meet someone I’ve usually talked to them for a while so have an idea of personality. If I don’t get that grrrrrr when I meet them it won’t be happening. I don’t think it’s shallow though. Quite happy to be friends, which to be honest has happened more than anything else on here which is an added bonus.

Attraction for me comes in different forms...there can be that immediate attraction to how someone looks but nothing more, it's usually fleeting.

Then there's an attraction that grows over time as you get to know someone that may be more personality based, but doesn't mean you don't find them physically attractive, and this is usually longer lasting and more meaningful.

Then there have been others where attraction hasn't been immediate either physically or personality wise but has developed over time.

I find it really difficult on here to make a snap decision based on looks alone and often hold back until I get to know someone a little because of it.

Connection is more than skin deep. Yes an immediate attraction is needed but if the spark is there the flames can be fanned as it were.

Depends solely on the chemistry built through chats and meets. Even people I wouldn't necessarily consider "my type" could easily be changed through their personality.

I've fancied people I've never met (or seen) based on our online/phone interactions.

I've superficially fancied people based on their physical appearance.

I put more faith in the former.

Critical physical feature: eyes (I can't describe what I look for, but I know in an instant if it's yes or no)

Bonus points: deportment, along with having a similar outlook on life, verbal expression and sense of adventure

I think we can miss so many Qualities from people by just going by the looks , it happened to me a lady sent pictures of her friend as she was conscious of her looks and she was a real Diamond of a lady great personality great in bed and great all-round person and 15 years later we are still friends today , So look Beyond looks I would say , But am pass my best now lol

I don't quite understand what you are saying...but it does say on my profile I'm looking for someone I can have a friendship with and go to clubs with, not just meet for a few hours of sex once a month. It says nothing about only meeting once
