Giving birth naturally is less painful than a kick in the balls, and you don't get 9 months to prepare before it happens.

Haha

Says the one who has given birth naturally several times

I do find it amusing how men think giving birth is easy !

Ouch, my son did the same, 56 stitches, a blood transfusion and 3 operations later all was good, but very lucky.

Oooo poor mummies!!!!

I have to say I’ve been very fortunate to have had 5 natural births

None were easy

Worst was prob first and fourth !

First was a 10pound baby! Epidural ran out!!

Fourth only 5cm dilated but I was trying hard not to have an emergency c section

My heart goes to any mummy that’s had to have a c section

I’m always asked if I will again!

Freak knows I havnt decided yet !

Isn't there a machine out there that mimics the effects of labour?

If any men out there fancy giving it a go and report their findings, we can settle this once and for all

Yeah daughter was my first and it honestly scarred me mentally.

Too far along to have an epidural and she wasn’t coming out.

So forceps were used, honestly I’ve never felt pain like it, the only way to describe it is that she was ripped from me.

I actually screamed and shouted at the doctor ‘i can’t fucking do this anymore!!’ had docs and nurses around me shout at me I had to carry on. One more push from me and pull from doc and she was out.

I tore and also lost a hell of a lot of blood. Hubby asked ‘is that amount of blood normal?’ which made me worse, the idiot haha.

She was totally worth it and I did it again with my son who’s labour was smoother than my daughters thankfully x

I've had three c-sections in the space of three years, plus a natural birth where I tore.

My ex-husband cut his finger whilst cleaning a fish and needed THREE stitches. He came home with a dressing over his thumb and said "the way you carried on I thought stitches hurt"...

Oh hon!! I feel for you!

So glad your second was smoother!

My fourth (my little man) was prob the worst

Labour for 3 and half days

Finally they put me on the drip

But I wasn’t dilated enough

But I was like I’m not having a c section !

I pushed him out at 5cm the midwife was like no stop pushing I was noooooo

Your not cutting me open!!

Bless him he was a bit cone head when he was born !

I have learnt being pregnant with girls for me are smoother and easier births !

All my friends think I’m nuts cos I was going to do another journey!

But life made that one fall through

Having had an 11lb 4oz second baby - I’d have to disagree. No time for an epidural.

That was reason enough for me not to have a third baby.

I would never want to compare the pain of being kicked in the bollocks with childbirth because I don't have bollocks but I will say giving birth naturally was not as painful as breaking my ankle and having a dislocation relocation.

Although giving birth to my first was more painful than my second despite my second being completely natural with no pain relief.

However going back to the OP it is one of those no right/wrong answers, despite the cause of pain everybody has a different level of pain threshold. Some people can cope, some can't

Ah god chick that sounds stressful!!

Thankfully all was ok!

Strangely I was 3 days slow labour with my daughter as well haha.

Contractions started on the Saturday in Pizza Hut! Tuesday she arrived after the eventful birth. Definitely worth it xx

Pain comparisons have too many variables but I certainly wouldn't want to go through childbirth.

Had the privilege to help deliver our last two at home. One was ten minutes old before seeing a medical professional the last one was 24hrs.

If it was as painful as a kick in the bollocks there wouldn’t be 7 billion people on the planet, they’d be a fraction of that, that’s just a fact.

Or possibly, just possibly, the love that a mother has for her children over rides any pain she’s experienced in birth.
