Is it us or is it difficult to find genuine couples.

Hello. We are new to this and we have been trying to link up with other couples. We have been stood up and there has been interest but nothing happens. Is this normal or is it Covid. Thanks.

In our admittedly limited experience with arranging meets on Fab, it's definitely very fickle. That said it definitely gets easier to spot the time wasters the more you chat to people, and there absolutely are genuine ones out there

I think it’s a combination of many things.

1. Some people set up a fake couple profile to get attention.

2. Some “couples” are just friends leaving apart and not a proper couple in that sense, perhaps something you might call FB or FWB.

You just have to keep mingling and chatting and it will happen.

I've found if I've contacted couples myself and got chatting they've generally been genuine.

If you wait for couples to contact you I've found 9 times out of ten its jùst the male half/a random male with no intention of meeting as a couple.

We’ve found a fair few “couples” aren’t actually couples at all. Some that are, are a bit more limited on time due to family commitments. And once we’ve established they’re couples and our child free time is in sync, there’s then just more personalities that need to ‘gel’ when we do meet. Meeting singles seems to go much more smoothly on the whole...

Covid won't make it easy. Most people don't want to meet just now and will just stick with their nearest and dearest.

Swingers clubs are a great way to meet genuine people, so might be worthwhile checking what's in your area. Obviously most are closed or only do social events now though. Swingers club discussions is a good forum to find out who's going where and what's on x

Firstly, you only joined 3 weeks ago, in the middle of a global pandemic. Maybe have some patience OP's. Secondly, is your profile as good as it can be? Remember this is your shop window, would you meet yourselves based on what you can see? Maybe when group socials start up again, get yourselves an invite, these are great places to meet new people. In the meantime, use the forums and chat rooms to get yourselves known on here. Good luck!

Think it’s to be expected at the minute with Covid .we have met some lovely couples and I’m sure once everything settles down your will start meeting some genuine couples.

Thats the stinger with covid, clubs are a great place to meet others. However many are still open for socialising which is great for making initial contact with couples that may float your boat.

I have played and had some genuine couples message me. On here I feel couples are the most likely to be real and genuine. Obviously i have had my fair share of flakes and fakes but compared to singles, couples are stellar

Most that contact me seem to be single people, I tend to report these profiles.

Finding suitable couples can be hard work but when you find ones who match what you are looking for it can be great.

We spend a lot of time chatting to find it just doesn't go anywhere so you do have to be patient. Yes there are a lot of fake profiles where it just seems to be a man but don't let them put you off. We have met some great couples on here for social times and naughty times too.
