More and more am I seeing people coming back for the third or fourth time

‘We spoke last time I was on’

‘Can I get a verification’

‘You know what it’s like, couldn’t keep away’

But I’m left wondering what it is that’s driving them away in the first (and every other) place.

Are you a culprit? Enlighten me!

Could it not just be most go from getting some to not getting some and come back on hope of getting some ?

Does seem to be a common theme on female profiles "back again", cant speak for the fellas as I dont go checking out their profiles.

But my last 2 female fwb deleted their profiles after we hooked up as they didnt want or need any more attention.

I honestly don't understand the need for deleting your profile if you're almost certain you'll eventually return.

It's particularly cringe seeing people announcing their leaving for all to hear then come back shortly after. Even more cringe is returning and doing "i'm back, what have I missed?" threads.

There's a function called hide profile. People should use it more.

I usually hide my profile when I'm in a relationship or rather after a successful date or 2 and don't come back on here unless that falls apart and even then not for at least several months after. As a single guy that doesn't want to be single I come here seeking the warmth of another soul during the cold dark times.

1) they meet someone and decide it's goodbye fab

2) they're fake so keep coming back like a cold sore

3) they're so hormonally driven, they can't decide what they want

4) attention

5) lack the intellect to notice they can hide their profile and then unhide if/when they do return for whatever reason

I leave when I'm sick of it or start dating in real life and come back if I fancy having a nose to see if anyone catches my eye. I'd rather delete than have a dormant profile on the internet.

I was on here as a single female last year. I deleted my profile due to being in a relationship, and created a couples profile.

Relationship ended so created a new single female one.

I’ve left and returned previously. When I left I didn’t think I’d be back... yet here I am.

I now just hide my profile, sometimes still log on (like now) for the forums, other times I don’t log in at all.

A lot is hormone related, if my horn is non existent I will take a break.

I've deleted mine when I've been in relationships and wanted to focus on them. I think that's perfectly acceptable and it demonstrates a commitment to the relationship, even internally within my own mind and saves a lot of unnecessary questions from an insecure gf asking what I'm still using fab for. Relationships generally end at some point and it's acceptable to join fab again I think. By joining fab I'm not signing up to being a lifetime or full time swinger, or even a swinger at all! I don't see what the fuss is about - maybe they should include a not rejoining clause in the fab rules along with that must shag anything with a pulse clause....?

We were going to come off again since we can't play due to pregnancy and covid but setting the majority of our profile to friends only seems to be OK for now.

See i know morally when I'm in a relationship i should delete it since i can't see myself ever being a swinger, just a guy that enjoys the company of a lady, as you say to give full confidence and commitment to who I'm with. However I'm a practical man as well as a touch pessimistic i guess, so see no real reason to have to especially given the need for veri's, as i know that when it's hidden i won't once think to look at fab.

I have left twice now and come back within about 6 months.

Being a fat single male with fetishes and from a rural area both times to was because I got frustrated with the whole thing. It's difficult to get people to chat let alone meet just got to much and I just had to get away from it

I've left once, it was during lockdown. People weren't meeting, well I wasnt anyway, and the forums seemed to be getting a little hostile. I might well have read it wrong at the time, but I wasnt having as much fun at the time for sure. I saw a thread along the lines of "nobody wants you here" or summit like that, it was tongue in cheek for sure but i left a thumbs up and then deleted my profile.

If I ever feel like things arent as fun anymore then I'll do what I should have done and just hide my profile and take a break

Personally I left because of a couple of situations that didn't sit right with me. Normally I would just hide my profile.

I did do a goodbye post, I think more as a way of trying to convey people should think of their actions on occasion. I think you did something similar OP, although you stayed?

I came back without any need for fanfares, as some good friends pointed out that I had left for wrong reasons, in allowing someone else to determine my leaving. Hope that makes sense.

And yes I have gone back to the old tried and tested method of hiding my profile and not coming on here hardly at all.

Occasionally I attempt a relationship (you can usually tell they set of the ww2 air-raid sirens in Exeter). After the inevitable carnage of failure (and associated burning of wardrobes, slashed tyres and general joviality of anyone that knows me) I come back, always a new profile, always start again ( no verifications from last time).

This is my second time.

I didn’t expect to be coming back so that’s why I deleted my profile. There was no umming and arring, I wasn’t contemplating coming back.

I don’t like getting verifications back off people I have met, hence why I asked Erect Jim to verify me this time round, as we never met sexually...although eating a McDonald’s together was quite an erotic experience

I enjoy the challenge of starting afresh too...I’d feel I was being lazy by just getting my old profile out...
