"My hobbies never really involve other people, except online, so they're quite intact, thankfully! I run out of energy more though, with the working from home..." Solitary hobbies certainly help introverts unite, separately in our own homes etc

"My hobbies never really involve other people, except online, so they're quite intact, thankfully! I run out of energy more though, with the working from home..." I spoke to the team at work (via group chat) about this last week. I tend to feed of others enthusiasm and drive, thriving on the discourse to get projects over the line. After 6 months+ out of the office it seems we have all used up our reserves somewhat. We have arranged a meet up in a couple of weeks (the health and safety forms are extensive!!) but we need this

"During lockdown i decided to grow Veg and pay more attention to the wildlife in my garden so bought a bird bath, bird feeders, bird boxes, insect houses.. The veg i grew are carrot, potato, parsnips, beetroot, cabbage, tomato, lettuce, chilli peppers, pumpkin.. some worked, some didnt oh and suddenly became obsessed with houseplants. i now have 11 in my front room " I also grew loads, or tried to. Flip flop a lot between it being interesting and enjoyable to a pointless waste of money for such little reward! My Rhubarb path is a vision of might and power though. RAHHH

Also remember that stuff growing underground need good soil to grow in. so easy for carrots to hit a stone adn just give up. Beetroot is a pretty good one I found. easy to see them growing well at ground level.

Beetroot is a pretty good one I found. easy to see them growing well at ground level." it was just something for me and my 10yr old to do, she loved going out early to water, she actually sowed the seeds so its more her veg plot. We really turned over the ground and got rid of stones etc.. also we had the upright big potato grow sacks filled purely with compost .. if anything it killed time but i love that it sparked her interest. Tomato's and lettuce did really well for us x

RAHHH next year i want to just keep it to carrot, potato, lettuce try onions, cucumber, strawberries and rhubarb" Onions and various salad leaves and herbs are always a good one, plant in batches and pick/use straight from the garden until October. Tomatoes and cucumber really need a sunny south facing greenhouse and quite bit of attention, compost, feed. Strawberries , Potatoes - not worth the effort imo. Our window sills are currently full of basil, coriander, mint and aloe Vera plants !

"At the moment I don’t have a lot of emotional energy for my hobbies, but I am still trying to paint when I can. I’ll get back to running as soon as I’m healthy enough to do so. X" I hope that comes soon. I find exercise really helps with the emotional energy.
