Any sophisticated people out there?

I am doing a champagne and strawberries tomorrow for a refined lady, and need a little advice.

As I was dragged up on a council estate in Essex I know nothing about champagne and have got a couple of bottle of brut that wete recommend too me but am now worried it may be too dry for her taste. Short of spending another £160 on more fizz is there anything I can add too it as a back up?

How about buying a bottle of Pink Champagne type stuff, Jacob's Creek is a particularly nice one. Its not too sweet, nor too dry and does go nicely with strawberries.

Oh crap I sound vaguely refined now don't I! Enjoy yourself...

I sometime buy a cheap bottle of fizz and add cassis to it. It makes everything taste better... In fact I might add this suggestion to the cheesy cock thread.

But if she doesnt like champagne make sure you got something like orange juice so you can always make a bucks fizz

Get another middle of the range champers from Marks just in case. The trouble is she may be refined but not know her champagnes so you could be wasting money either way. Also, nothing wrong with asking what she likes - if you are not a champagne drinker you cant be expected to know all the ins and outs. Hope you have a lovely evening;-)
