Ever had a Stranger offer you a Lift?

Ever had a stranger offer you a lift? Did you assume they had a sexual motive? Were you disappointed when they didn't? When I was a college teenager waiting for the early morning bus, a stranger pulled up in his car, flung open his door and offered me a lift. He was middle aged and rather fat, and very eager to get me in his car. I told him I was going to a town 40 miles away (fibbing), and he said he would take me there. After several attempts to get me in his car I told him no, and he slammed the door and drove off. I reported the incident, but it made me wonder if there are genuinely good samaritans out there offering lifts to strangers, or did I just think the worst, and assume he was after a bit of fun? Have you had a similar experience? The worst part of all, I was actually feeling kind of horny at the time and part of me wanted to get in just for the sexual thrill, but common sense told me not to.

About three years ago I was finishing work early it was about 3am, I was just about to pull into my road and a girl walk into the road and flagged me down, she said she had been beaten up by her boyfriend and needed a lift to her friends,

Which was about a five minute drive, I didn't think twice and said ok,

The street lights were off she only had a little t shirt on and leggings, in the dark I could see the lump on her forehead, she was telling me he came to her flat and smashed the place up and hit her, offered to take her to the police station but she was scared of repercussions, i dropped her off at her mates she thanked me, the following day I told my wife, she said I was stupid for picking her up as she could of told the police I did that to her,

I said someone could picked her up and attacked her and I said im glad I did it,

It was only afterwards I thought about and yes it could of gone wrong for me,

I did feel sorry for her, she was in her late teens,

I did think if that was my child I hope someone would do the same but in this day and age you have to be very careful

When I was a youngster about 13in,1980,bloke stopped me as I was walking home down a quiet country road, back from school, about 4pm, . Said he knew my dad, and said would I like a ride, became very upset when I declined, and kept enticing me to get in and he smealt of drink, and was all red in the face. I felt very uneasy and afraid, and was relieved when he drove off. It was a red estate car, he had dark hair, looking like the bloke in the likely lads. When I got home I asked my dad and he knew no one of that description. Gives me the creeps thinking about it even now.
