where the road goes on forever

Bars are still not open here unless they derive more from food than alcohol sales

I was wondering what the pubs will do when they are showing matches, that go into extra time (after 10pm)

There will be riots switching off the TV and asking people to leave

I visited the pub for the first time yesterday. They have cancelled the sports TV. It was dead until about 6pm when It quickly filled up.

I don't care about pubs these days.

I like to go out in the afternoon have a meal a few drinks and then get home before all the younguns come out.

They're the ones that are going to be upset.

I’ve only been to pubs to eat so far so it’s been table service and I’ve been out by that time anyway. I tend to meet friends at mine instead.

Pubs aren't showing sport as it encourages people shouting and therefore spreading the virus

Easy, set your watch 2 hours fast, go out 2 hours earlier, you'll have a good session and think it's midnight when it's 10pm.

Coleford, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

Judging by the film footage on the news of people exiting the pubs last night at 10 pm struggling to carry the boxes of booze they'd just purchased in their arms and not keeping any form of social distancing you have to wonder what this incompetent government is trying to achieve by implementing this measure. Moving the party from the local pub at 10 and transferring the party to a private house just seems futile to me.How is this controlling the pandemic?

What do you think the government should do? Shut the pubs until next March? Full lockdown again? The army on the streets?

I don't think it's the government that's incompetent.

Music venues are allowed to stay open later as long as there is entertainment, but they are not allowed to sell alcohol part 10, so it might be the same.

Though I'm not sure how keeping people in but not drinking alcohol really helps

Bothered. No.

We have too many pubs. Those days are long gone. Pubs used to shut at 10pm.. 9pm on Sundays.

How do you remember a town? Most people say The dog and duck or George and dragon.... Or spoons these days.
