phone numbers on profiles

Some people always have their mobile numbers displayed on their profiles.

Sometimes I post mine in a status update and this gives my friends the knowledge that my mobile is on and I'm ready to play or chat about future parties.

However certain cranks feel the need to phone me up and be abusive.

Do these same people call other swingers and give them abuse?

Sounds harsh but if you are going to post your phone number for all to see...then you have to expect that a few will use it for nasty purposes.

Seeing mobiles posted on profiles makes the person/people look desperate. A total avoid for us anyway as we dont call them - It costs money!

I always ask for a contact number before I agree to meet someone - been let down too many times with no shows and no means of finding out whether they are just running late or can't/won't be turning up.

a contact number doesn't guarantee a gal turns up tho m8! I gave my number out once on another site and was bombarded with crank calls! Plus, the op said it was for his 'friends' benefit, but wouldn't they already have his number? Mine do!

erm, there are ways of contacting/talking to people without giving your number out!! Ever heard of webcam?? I did not say i never contacted them before hand!!

no probs, everyone has their own rules about numbers on here! I just don't give it out until after a meet because you don't know who is at other end of msges! Could be a timewaster or a guy that gets off pretending hes a gal!! If that means i miss out on a meet or two then so be it!

Because some of my friends get 100's of messages but if they look at friends updates on the homepage they can clearly see my updates as can I theirs

you only need to put that you are free and ask your friends to call. no cranks then

If they are your friends that you meet surely they already know your number. What are you actually expecting to happen by posting your number for the whole site to see ?

Only giv out my number after a meet, if I want another meet that way I don't get harrassed/abused like I hav bin in the past. In my view Verifications let people no your genuine

phone number displayed on profile to me always feels a bit too desperate, as it seems they would shag anything. Whether or not that is true is another matter - but phone number displayed publicly for me is usually a turn off - sorry

I see this in mens profiles and have a good laugh.

Womens profiles who have it in are questionable however. I dont mind BBM though.
