So i understand that trans individuals believe they were born in the wrong body, is this the same thing cross dressers believe or are they wearing womens clothes for fun

Also take into account that some crossdressers may have spent most of their lives or part of it wondering if they are trans or not too.

It was only a few years ago that I realised I could be happy being 'just' a crossdresser and finding an outlet for it for me also meant I was finally happy as a guy too.

Yes most see it as just for fun and many like myself have purged everything numerous times over the years to try not to dress up but that itch never goes away and can often take over your whole being if you cannot do so.

Being the way I am is as much a part of me as any of my character traits are, I cannot get rid of it and will now always embrace it.

Some crossdressers are not doing this purely for fun, its a fundamental part of who they are.

No we are not the same as trans people and those who go through reassignment but it doesn't make us any less valid, just different.

No one said crossdressers are any less valid at all it's about choice everyone has the right to do what ever they choose x

Our best friend (post op trans) used to say, the difference between a tv & ts is that a ts can't wait to get her heels off at the end of the day, but a tv wears them in bed!

I'd say that a CD wears opposite-gender clothing for sex, a TV wears opposite-gender clothing some of the time and a TS lives full time in their non-birth gender.

But even that is a bit complex - eg you could have a closeted TS who lives as their non-birth gender whenever they can, but doesn't feel able to all the time.

Ultimately like any label they're starting points, not someone's life story. And they may change over time with the person.

Totally agree here...I have a very strong female side but equally a male side..I do not dress for fun I dress because for me my female side needs that extra connection. As a parallel Im borderline personality, something very different to schizophrenic. Its part of who I am and rately involves fun..its a need. People shouldn t just generalise, its different for everyone.
