Capturing interest

Threads...they come with a variety of subjects, delivered in many different styles. Many I skim over and probably miss out on entertainment.

So what really grabs your attention most...the title? The newspaper tabloid emotive text, or is there one key subject you can't avoid? Maybe its the ensuing battle between a few profiles?

Whatever makes me want to reply. One day something reflective, another just utter nonsense.

If I had to sit there and think what to write rather than just pour the words out easily.. I know it's not for me. Catchy title helps.

Title, mostly poster, I know if it’s started by some I’ll have zero interest in it, others I know they will be more on my wavelength, nothing too serious, I can’t be arsed, but at the same time it needs a bit of depth. I like the ones who come out of nowhere, they shine bright then disappear again into the wilderness like troubadours. I like slightly surreal, not into fawning or ego massaging, it’s incredible tedious.

I’m drawn to soppy stuff, thoughtful stuff and stuff I find funny.

This can mean I see stuff posted by a poster I associate with those sorts of threads and automatically have a nose.

I’m a sucker for click bait

Can depend on the poster. Some I see who has posted it and just know that it will be a load of bollocks that I have no interest in, other times it might be someone that has piqued my interest so I want a look.

Other times it’s after a few glasses of wine where I will look at/comment on most.

Right... back to my wine
