I spent 40 quid on a Remington triple rotor shaver at the weekend.

Victor Kiam wasted his money! Bloody thing plucks more than it shaves, unless my whiskers are a but tough!

I got myself a Philip's 3 roundy head thing. I think it was 250. Really good and after a few goes and getting used to it it is almost as close as a wet shave. Does sidies too

i use a phillips one blade but the replacement blades are around £14 i think

Are you looking for a close shave similar to a normal razor? Or you looking for something that will give you a consistent trim for stubble/beard?

I opted for a phillips 1000 series rechargeable shaver only about 3/4 years ago I,m sure the charge is already less than it was.. my former phillips lazer rechargeable shaver gave me 25 years service I doubt this one will give another 5 years service but otherwise a decent little shaver..

For what? Head? Body hair? Everything?

You can't rely on a certain brand name, so it depends.

Wahl are generally better on the mid-high consumer end though.

Sorry can't help I bought mine specifically as it had multiple attachments and adjustable lengths for body hair and beard.

In my experience if you want to be a clean shaven, nothing beats a normal razor for smoothness.
