Kale....it doesn't do itself any favours, does it?

Under the Duvet

I've tried to love kale, I really have, mainly because they keep sticking it in my veg box but I think I need to admit me and kale are never going to be friends.

Are there any Friends of the Kale out there who can convince me otherwise?

Am I missing something?

Urgh.

It's cheap and you get a lot of benefits for your buck. Plus it makes excellent filler for a veg box

If you don't like the taste then have it in a fruit smoothie so you still get the goodness

We used to grow it for the cows. You had to limit how much they had or it would taint the milk, you could actually detect an odour when you lifted the lid on the bulk tank.

I’m sure if you put it up as a status update you would get plenty of volunteers for that task.

Where ever the wind takes me

Salt, oil and ten mins in the oven till a crisp and you have something close enough to be nice to the crispy Chinese sea.

It's cheap, it's good for you.

And it tastes horrible.

Drown it in something

I tend to eat with a roast or pie. Use mint sauce or Worcestershire sauce on it and its lush..

Perpignan and cap

I've been eating packed lunches for most of my life and can count on one finger the amount of times that a girlfriend has "packed me up". It was a bacon and kale sandwich. I threw the greenery away.

I usually add it to a stir fry, have it steamed with carrots and sweetcorn to give sweetness or go for cavolo nero which isnt as bitter as curly kale.

Ive defo learned to like it

I also add it to the oven tray where I was already roasting some chicken thighs, curried potatoes, pumpkin or butternut squash.. for the last 10 min to add that crunchy crisp to the dish.
