Mine went last year. He loves it. I miss him terribly. I think it was harder on me than on him

It is only now just hitting me, as I pack her stuff for her and pretend to be happy

Dubai & Nottingham

Saturday was so hard, drove her into Waterloo London, unpacked, tiny little flat , very little going on at uni , 3 out of 8 flat mates , the last of my 3 little girls gone now. In normal times wouldn’t be so sad. For the last 5 years we’ve been travel/adventure buddies too and got really close. Still a bit numb.

On the plus side me and Mrs now have a bathroom each !

Neither of pues went to university but they did leave home very young, one two weeks after their 17th birthday. We were happy for them and pleased to see their lives progressing. We've always been aware that our job was to prepare them for life and we celebrate their independence.

Manchester (she/her)

My mum was a blubbering wreck when I moved out of home. Made a right scene at the airport.

And it's contagious, so, so was I.

Thank you everyone, and to those who have messaged me directly .... I always joked about getting my life back ..... I always knew it was the last thing I wanted .... god I hope I don’t start crying in front of her new friends. Not very ‘the man’ thing to do

I’m crying for you now, it’s soooo sad

The last one is the hardest though, you have to hang out with your wife now
