With all of this pandemic going on at least one good thing we can all be grateful for, Christmas is only a matter of weeks away

Not a fan of Christmas, I actively go out my way to avoid it which is pretty difficult

95 days to go, and by the end of the week the temperature will feel Christmassy

.

I'm so excited, first Christmas without hosting since my partner and I got together. And as things stand, he actually has time off, decent time off as well. Again, first time since we started dating. So, yep. I'm really excited.

Is it the Autumn equinox today or tomorrow? It’s the day my mother puts her Brussels on, ready to boil away until the big day.

It will be very disappointing if I can't visit my family if lockdown comes back though

Really looking forward to it. The break from work and spending a little extra time with the family.

All those families getting together from around the country before returning to their own areas.

What could possibly go wrong.

I imagine trying to stop them will be pretty futile.

I think the waiting list for me to get in to see my family is already past Christmas, and my parents don't have a valid reason to leave. I made my decision in March. Shrug.

I’m willing to sit this one out.

I'll admit that I cried a bit when I saw the Prime Minister in front of the Australian flags begging Australians to come home *now*.

But the UK is my home. And tens of thousands of Australians are already stranded in the queue to get back. I have no reason to join them.
