Do you prefer more formal dates? (Meals out in restaurants) Or chilled out informal dates (park benches/walks)??

I prefer going for a drink, not a meal. It’s easier to leave early if it’s not going well.

Bit of both, done the formal way more often but had a date with a girl recently where we went to this ninja tag place, great fun and there was no awkward moments as we had already got seriously competitive with each other a week before we went!

Probably drink and a meal but in a pub rather than a restaurant or a coffee in a cafe.

Default mode is dress to impress, high end restaurant, splash out and make a night to remember.

But totally depends on whatever they're comfortable with, casual dates always follow and they're special too

Informal for me, no need to go over the top when you’re trying to get to know each other. If the dates going well then extend it, to a restaurant if not, a quick coffee and goodbye

A bit of both. But my favourite type of date is a park picnic

Depends on how the online chatting has gone. If you have chatted a while, you have usually gained some common interests. Sometimes it is a pub meal, sometimes a McDonald's purely for convenience and location. I have met at a stately home, country fayre....

More comfortable with a relaxed bar meal rather than dinner in a 5 star restaurant.

The last (non-speed) date I had was an afternoon drink in a pub. More years ago than I care to remember.

Informal is better. Currently on my mind walking along Thames.. and then maybe a visit to a boat restaurant. So best of both worlds?

Think for a guest date informal works best. A coffee somewhere perhaps. Let the chat flow and see how the chemistry feels.

I'd quite like a date lol

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

Never food. Something informal is far better for me. And if there is coffee involved I'm definitely there!

It's so to do with the vibe your getting from each other and what you are both comfortable with. I've had both and really enjoy both.

I would bloody raging and would not meet them. How insulting is that?. Good enough to shag but not to be seen out with.

I quite like an informal, no pressure park meet. If it goes well there will be plenty of opportunity to do the full on drinks meal etc

Any

Informal for the first date, if we have good chemistry there’ll be plenty of time for meals out/weekends away after!

A bit of companionship can go a long way.....!
