I think they will go back to a smoother character role as we have had a few years of the cold hearted bastard role that Daniel Craig has been so good at

I’m thinking :

Taron Egerton

Tom Hiddleston

Luke Evans

Tom although he is fit, is not quite right unless they are going for a younger bond, restarting a new saga of bonds younger life rather than continuing on Daniel craigs saga...

I heard it was just a rumour, nothing confirmed.

I love Daniel Craig as Bond, a hard act to follow.

I love Tom Hardy so we'll see what happens.

I saw Daniel Craig coming out of our local Coop not long after Skyfall was released, his Dad (now passed) lived a few mile away

The only decent thing I've seen Tom Hardy in was 'Bronson' - perfect role for him.

Nowadays if I see a film stars him it's usually a good filter for me to not see it.

Then new film announced next summer and new Bond announced soon after once they get loads of publicity

Its how it works

As long as he’s not an American, then I’m generally happy whoever they pick. My concern over the franchise is they’d want to pick some American actor to play him, so to appease the US Market.

I think Tom Hardy will bring something different to the role as Daniel Craig did. I loved him in Bronson so won’t be surprised if he does a fine job with Bond

Love the Bond movies. Had to Google Tom Hardy, Bond isn't usually bearded lately plus he doesn't have tattoos, so that would change it up a bit, not sure if that would be good or bad? Bond has the perfect body

Good call, Miss Y - he's an excellent actor and has the sex appeal unlike some of the other names that have been floated by actors' press agents as having been "considered" for Bond.

I think in general the Bond films are better when they get a good actor and allow him to present a three dimensional character who is somewhat vulnerable now and then. I know others disagree, but the ones I can't bear is where 007 is a smug superhero (Brosnan) or where the whole thing isn't taken seriously (Moore).

I also dislike something that particularly marred some in the Daniel Craig series, too many exciting, expensive but tiring set pieces to keep the action flowing. The early Bonds were relatively low budget films, and any spectacle had to be sparing, which meant the filmmakers had to fill the gap with tension.

The Devil Delaney

That was a wonderfully dark series

‘I have a use for you....’

Good news! It is apparently returning with possibly series two and three being filmed back to back. The problem (and why it has taken so long in coming) has been finding time in Tom’s busy schedule to fit it in.

Here’s hoping we’ll see James Delaney back next year
