I listened to Susannah Reid interviewing a journalist who was criticising JK Rowling for portraying a male murderer dressing in women's clothes to trap his victims. The journalist said it portrayed TVs in a negative way. It struck me that Suzannah used the term 'womens clothes'. If all clothes were unisex and just thought of as clothes without gender attached to them then transvetites would not exist. Does that make any sense ?

Well as far as clothes go, if everyone wore the same clothes then cross dressing i.e. transvestism would not exist, no, but for many cross dressers it's not only the clothes that attract them, but also the femininity, so they would find other ways to express that femininity.

Hope that helps.
