Gary Lineker, paycut

Poor Gary has had his salary cut from the BBC cut to 1.35million,how will he cope. Surely the British brain washing corporation can find some poor pensioners to harass for their TV licence to keep him in the lifestyle he has become accustomed to. He may be forced to do more crisp advertising ha ha, to put food on the table! Discuss!

The Town by The Cross

He seems a decent sort to me. Boring but decent.

Works for his money and seems fairly humble about it.

Good of him to take a pay cut in the current crisis.

Doubt he'll miss it much

Opportunities...we all have them.

He took one and it paid off. Well done Gary.

He's taken a pay cut which is relative to him, bringing him on a par to zoe Ball, probably the most annoying DJ in the history of radio.

and shes loosing listners, yet gets a pay rise, not many job that the more shit you are, the more money you get, bbc needs to pay its own way, its a shadow of what it was, but back then there was very little alternitive, now there is, they need to be self supporting, and move with the times, i personaly dont watch it, they make no programs that apeal to me, and im sure im not alone, and that kind of says it all really

Disgusting waste of licence payer's money, unbelievable, has they harass the elderly for the licence fee. Scrap the BBC, or put adverts on it, outdated bloated organisation.

Is be a bit pissed off tbh if half the country was discussing my salary and bitching about me. However much I earn, I earn it and it's none of their business really.... ....how much we pay for the license fee is fair game but not ppl's individual salary, that's teh BBC's business imho....

Not keen on him at all, but not keen on football either, however, he works in an industry where the salaries are all huge.

The argument to defund the BBC is different to one to prevent people earing megabucks.

I just wish he would pipe down on social media about refugees and Brexit.

It is his 'holier than thou' attitude that annoys me way more than his bank balance or salary.

problem is that its ilegal to watdh any live tv without paying the bbc, just make it subscription only, its not hard most other channels do it, so scrap the tax, lets call it what it it, and make them earn the fees, or are they afraid they cant make it work with out the tax, i think the latter tbh. discovery for one make far better programs, and you have to pay for that or you cant get it, back when there were only a few channels, it was worth the fee, as they were way above the others, but not now, i cant remember the last time i watched a bbc program

Thats fair, but I think people should be able to have an opinion when they have to pay there wages, if they scrapped the tv licence and went to a subscription model they could do what they like with wages and a lot less people would care.

I can't remember the last time I had a drama free shag out of fab, but I don't question what the site designer earns.... I either join fab or I leave!

Question the license fee for sure and the management of the BBC, but if someone negotiates a salary then it's their business imho....

Sending threatening letters out, and snoopers to bully people to pay the licence fee so that they can waste our money on these grossly over paid individuals, just about anyone could do their job, make it subscribe only, and pay their own way
