When the crusts meet in a corner, it makes a whole mouthful of dry and boring sandwich. Rectangular cut sandwiches have 2 of these to get through, whereas triangular cut only have 1. So a triangular cut sandwich has more tasty bites in it than the rectangular cut

That was actually scientificly proven.
It's supposedly due to the the dry crust at the edges where there is less tasty filling.
When the crusts meet in a corner, it makes a whole mouthful of dry and boring sandwich.
Rectangular cut sandwiches have 2 of these to get through, whereas triangular cut only have 1.
So a triangular cut sandwich has more tasty bites in it than the rectangular cut
