Do you have any or wear them or maybe you don't believe in their healing properties?

I recently bought a pink quartz, wire wrapped it and made a necklace. Have a couple of others as well and plan to get some more. Some I will get because I like the colour and not because of its healing properties. I do believe that when selecting a particular crystal for yourself you know it's for you as you are drawn to it.

Some people say that wrapping the crystal in wire traps healing properties, i (Arri) have worked with crystals for many years. You also have to cleanse them. Alot of people are in two minds about crystals. Alot of the crystals i own i brought because they have picked me or i just like them and i have enough to supply a shop with them. I've been told i hoard them lol

Just remember to cleanse them and you'll get much enjoyment and benefit from them. Some say it's placebo, but even if it is, who cares.

I have loads of amethist and tourmaline, should maybe diversify.

I can understand re the wire wrapping but that would depend on size of crystal and amount of wire used. Yes there is the cleansing too I just leave mine in the sunshine and or moonlight.

It also depends on what wire is used. Don't leave crystals in sunlight as it can crack them. Moonlight on a full moon is best or in natural running water, river etc.

A lot of crystals are very nice to look at, but I don't believe they have any special powers.

I'd agree

I think it criminal that currently charlatans travel the countries shows and perform con tricks to con people that a cristal has magic powers

Do date iv seen no data that crystals can

Heal

Need resting

Crack in sunlight

Improve well being (beyond any other nice thing)

Improve balance

Affect a humans metabolism

I have seen data regarding the interaction of electrons and crystals

However this data has zero consequences upon human physiology or psychology

All objects have their own energy or magnetic wavelength. Its science. Each wavelength reacts differently to different people some are more sensitive then others. I get a headache and i can smell the charge when there is thunder and lightning. Others cant.

Most of them have a terrible journey behind them, with atrocious conditions for those who mine them etc. It's really tragic.

I'd be happy for any scientific research evidence on claimed properties but am not aware of any

A previous neighbour of ours who claimed to be a witch (she wasn't because she cut down an elder) gave me a pink crystal that she claimed had restorative qualities. It had been highly polished and cut to a shape and looked very pretty but I didn't experience anything other than appreciation for its looks.

I don't personally think they have the power to influence people in any way but maybe people have the power to believe they do and if it works who am I to crticise?

Is their energy and wavelength really science? Has this whole notion of them affecting things around them got scientific research that backs that up?

I'm very sceptical of that claim, but fair play to you if you can show me some.

I love crystals, rocks, fossils etc. because I'm a geologist, but I definitely don't think they have healing properties.

Nothing mysterious about high cottages creating ozone and we smell the ozone

That has zero bearing on the non existent "healing" properties attributed to crystals

Saying all things have "an energy" or wave length is simply pseudoscience

All matter above absolute zero has energy as heat is indeed a wavelength however to then to distort this data to suggest it's an ethereal magic property is simply dishonest and with zero substantive data

The best scientific study I could quickly find substantiated the placebo effect as the cause for a perception of well being and not electro magnetic wave length

The last person I encountered

who tried to prove magnets and crystals were magic was quickly shown to be a lieing criminal con artist. I treat them with the same contempt and disdain as those who pretend to talk to humans who have died

I'm not aware of any scientific evidence that backs up any claims that are made about them. As they are readily available, part of a £Multi-million industry, simple research would be incredibly easy and cost next to nothing. Like the James Randi offer of huge rewards for evidence of psychic phenomena, which has never been paid out, I suspect that any research carried out has failed to demonstrate anything worthwhile from them and that suppliers in the Multi-million industry are in it and happy to peddle unsubstantiated claims.

Much of the production funds groups like the Taliban and corrupt regimes around the world, where forced child labour and degradation of a near enslaved workforce funds murders and wars. I'm unhappy with this aspect, where crystals are sold without any provenance and I'm unwilling to fuel such atrocities onto vulnerable people elsewhere.

Beyond the placebo effect I don’t think there is any scientific evidence that crystals have healing properties. But the placebo effect is powerful so if they do it for you, then great.

I agree however

Should it be acceptable that a claim is made to persuade people to part with their cash the claim validated by slight of hand ?

I think some people that sell them genuinely believe they have healing properties too but I wouldn’t be surprised if there also a lot of charlatans that see a market and want to exploit it.

I should add that Sodium chloride crystals will have an effect upon your body and health. I think the rest is just modern woo, derived from a few earlier authors who all claimed different healing properties of each crystal type and subsequent woo merchants have standardised their unsupported claims.

Things around us have these timeless minerals within them. We must be constantly bombarded with conflicting messages from their inner powers.

And sodium chloride does not have any effect unless ingested and that effect has nothing to do with pseudo science "energy" or waves transmitted

Its "claimed" that crystals "channel" emr waves

Maybe however I think we may find in almost all cases em radiation is usually destructive to human cells
