"I will be again soon when I manage to order the graphics card I need to complete my new build "

Are you jumping from a 20 series card or 10?

You might want to pre order 3080 benchmarks stats look impressive so would imagine they are going to sell out for that price

Trying to get hold of a 3080 as this is a new build, not had a desktop for 8 years! Have managed to place a pre-order with Amazon for an Asus 3080 but no stock available, will be trying to order direct from Nvidia for a founders edition when they go live later today.

If that all looks impossible it might have to be a 1650 super as a temporary measure

My advise go direct to nvidia, the cooler alone sets benchmarks, watching Jay2cent and Linus tech tips they both said very quiet and thermals around 61..

That's the plan, should be able to order direct from Nvidia at 2pm, just depends on the stock levels and availability. The order for the Asus at amazon is the backup plan.

That's a stinker, any chance you can switch networks in the next few months? There's an expansion coming in early 2021.

Within a split second too, most other sites selling aibs crashed too

That's ok, I'm wait for Big Navi to drop the prices or make Nvidia push out a higher Vram Card

I was there ready and waiting but obviously got nothing so have ordered a 1650 Super so I can build the PC this weekend, just waiting on Amazon for the Asus 3080 which it seems from reviews is quieter than the FE.

Well there's no performance different for gaming in 4k between Ryzen and intel and almost non exists in 1440p so yeah with zen 4 intel has literally absolutely nothing to speak for

No, 1440p and 4k. At 1080p you're only realistically playing competitive games and you can easily achieve 240fps on either CPU with a 3080.

OK next question, are you comparing previous gen i.e 2080ti etc or a comparison to the a AMD equivalent

Tests I've seen so far, 4k has seen an improvement but no where near what I'd expect..

I don't have the card to personally bench test so going off internet articles and your classic pc tech reviewers.. So I'm taking it with a pinch of salt really with nvidia claims

For me I will be jumping from a evga 1070FTW card so gains will be noticeable

No I'm saying that gaming wise in 4k and 1440p there is 0 advantage of going intel over AmD as performance is same at 4k and near identical in 1440p.

I'm going to upgrade from gtx 970

The clock speed is higher but that's only relevant in 1080p gaming.

Amd destroys intel in multithread/core performance.

And Intel is still using 14nm and pcie 3.0
