Hot chilli !!

That feeling when you eat a meal which states only 1 chilli rating on the box & you think it is going to be mildly flavourful. Only when eating it does the intensity of the chilli builds to an uncomfortable level and no amount of cold drink will stop the burn!

Somewhere In The Ether…

And the next day......we’ll, I won’t go into graphic detail but there is a song by the late Johnny Cash which encapsulates the feeling one gets whilst sitting on the loo.....

The only problem like that in this household is when products claim to be spicy but just aren't enough.

We have a 9.5m scoville chilli essence we use for an extra kick

"Drink some milk ..or add yogurt to the sauce "

I am outta milk. And don't have any natural yogurt.

I am slowly ploughing through it!

Taking breaks to let my tongue recover from the spicy heat.

And typing in the forum.

I won't waste my food. It is perfectly fine aside from the fact it was created by the Devil himself!

I have a bottle of both God Slayer and Regret in the fridge. Both of which are hot but regret is 12million and it is on the CIA watch list to not be sent to N.Korea as it can be used to power ballistic missiles.

Then may I recommend Tesco's creamy chicken & smokin' rice ready meal for 1 !

It says mild. But I beg to differ.

( goes off to put some more ice in her drink! )

Yoghurt or mango chutney, something sweet really knocks back the spice.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I once ate a Carolina Reaper chilli.

Holy crap! It felt as though my inner ears were on fire and I was gasping like a deranged dude of some note.

I had gut ache for the next few hours and when I sat on the throne later it felt like I was passing molten magma.

On the bright side though, it was on my bucket list so another thing ticked off

It's honestly in mourning still a year or so later.

I tried eating a dried ancho chilli once. Now it’s by far nowhere near as hot, but my stomach hurt that much I was doubled up in pain for half an hour and couldn’t get off the toilet for 20 minutes after that.

I think it’s because it was dried. But I won’t make that mistake again.

I love spicy food, and find I have the opposite issue.

I buy something that says 'extreme heat', try it, and it's about the same level as Flaming Hot Monster Munch

Milk.

Should kill the chilli burn.

Chilled wet wipes or those moist intimate wipes.

Should make the after effects in the morning less uncomfortable.

I'm a redhead and can handle chilli. I've never been outspiced yet. Been growing nagga chillis for my salads this year. My fella has "wimp" level. Although he can now handle more than he could before he meet me.
